KO brothers tip review.

I would be happy if I could just get LePro tips like I used on my cues for decades.

The ones I have tried in the last decade, or so, are nothing like the old ones.

They are spongy, they mushroom easily, and the fibers separate and pull apart.

I used to buy them by the box and cherry pick what I thought was the best one and I would never have a problem with it. The box would last for years.

Now it seems that almost everyone you choose is a crap shoot.

Break Stats -- 2025 U.S. Open Pool Championship (9-Ball), August 2025

thank you for the superb detailed stats, again.

I watched a lot and noticed on Diamond tables in the US, players tend to break better, but on Rasson, especially at World Pool Championship, the 1 ball hit the middle pocket jaws A LOT. Matchroom may have made the middle pockets at WPC a bit smaller imo.

softer rails on Diamond tables made a lot of opening shots possible after the breaks, like the long thin cuts cueball would travel up down table, if on Rasson players would choose safeties.

That is possible. I cleaned the ferrule with alcohol and magic eraser but there were blue streaks still there. I experimented on whether the blue marks could be removed with sanding. I removed them and a couple scratches remained. It seems alright.

Better safe than sorry.

If the scratches are too deep you can’t get rid of them without reducing the diameter of the ferrule so just clean as best you can.

The picture with the square tip the ferrule looks straight. After shaping the ferrule has the slight angle with the tip. Be careful with overly aggressive sanding grits.

The gap at the bottom of the ferrule could be a problem at some point. It gives the ferrule room to move making the tenon a piston to pop the tip off.

Keep going. Experience is the best teacher

Prize money

Playing pro golf is a figment of an over amped imagination. How many millions of dollars have been spent sending little Johnny to expensive golf lessons only to have him fail and waste years not pursuing a REAL career? Same goes for tennis and base ball. Pool can be enjoyed and like the other sports requires great skill to perform well. So those who feel that golf and the other sports are more worth while get your second mortgages and send little Johnny and Susie to their respective lessons.

If you hit the cueball at the same spot and same speed but you don't follow through you will not be able to get follow or draw on the cueball, imagine hitting a baseball and stopping your swing at home plate, that's what it is like if don't follow through with your stroke, to make it even harder, you must follow through perfectly straight or you will impart sidespin on your shot whether you intended to or not 😉
not at all true. once your cue tip contacts the cueball its all over baby blue. nothing more happens you can influence.

same with the baseball if you stop your swing when the ball hits the bat the ball is gone.

I disagree, SVB uses no follow through on draw shots and he has the best one.

Yapp winning, with a foul! Just like Maradona making a goal with his hands :D

I get this. You tube no less. Still, claiming absolute foul with no forensic evidence is disturbing.
On the WNTTV website it still looks like a foul with better video bitrate available, not just on YouTube with lower bitrate. It would have been hard for a referee to notice it, or a player to perhaps noticed it happened. The 9 ball did not move long enough for a player shooting looking at the pocket to pick up on their own that the 9 ball moved. The impact occurred at the same time the cue hit the object ball making it tough for a player to call a foul on themselves. Yapp probably thought it was a good hit at the time since he knew the ref was watching and made no call.
