Three cuemakers guessed it to be Tulipwood.

What other wood has the same type of grain and color that this could be? I'm just going by what they all guessed and what it looks like to me. Based on other green leafs I'm confused as to what else it could reallt be besides tulipwood.

What do you think?
Hello,
That $999 Schon MZ that you recently sold. Can you ask the guy that bought it if he wants to sell it? I am very interested in buying it.
Your input was exactly what I was looking for...honesty.

Some people harp on and on about brands they grew up with. I understand loyalty but at a certain point we need to be realistic and reality tells me that ballpark of 5k (after upgrades, moving..etc) is a bit much for something that just imitates something we like when another 1k or so will buy the real deal instead of the imitation. That is my way of thinking and it sounds like you are on the same page with me.

Some mentioned in my thread about budget. Budget has little to do with my choice up to ballpark of $6,000 to $7,000 for table, light, delivery and setup. More than that and the price tag may make me wonder if it is worth the price or not.

You know what they say...."you don't know how you look till you get your picture took" = "will see"...

Again, thanks a ton for you info and advice.

I have a GCIII and play on Diamonds every week. I had Jeremy Chambers here in Chicago put new Diamond rails on it and made the pockets same as Diamond The GCIII or any GC will never play like a Diamond, it has to do with the depth of the pocket shelves. The Diamond is deeper. I bought my GCIII used for about $1900 installed with new cloth and spent another $1400 on the new rails. Knowing what I know now, I would have gotten a Diamond. If you can swing it, just buy a Diamond. More fun to play on. If you can play on a Diamond, you can play on anything. If you play on GC's, Diamonds will intimidate you, or at least they did me before I had the rails done.
Good luck.
Hi, I'd like to get a box of Magic Chalk. I work at Bay & Wellington, please let me know when/where can we meet. Thanks, Isaac.
Howard so very sorry to hear about your health...I haven't been on much...I am living in a very rural area and enjoying the Black Hills except we have very cold weather now...I always enjoyed your posts Howard...Your a really good person..My prayers are with you friend...PM me whenever you like...Love your avatar pic..Joe
Hi Joey, it's been a long time since we talked and my health went downhill these past few months. My Lymphoma Cancer is growing again and the Neropathy Pain in my legs and feet has greatly worsened. I can't drive, play Pool, or go to the Range any longer. I've had a very exciting and adventurous life, so I shouldn't complain. Please remain diligent and keep up the good fight in my stead.
Your Friend, Howard
Hey Larry, Maniac here. Just dropping you a line to let you know that my cues are still perfectly straight and playing well. Even the break cue with the solid butt is arrow straight. I hope you are well. I've been away from AZB for awhile but I'm back (but will be a lot less active than I was before). Happy New Year to you and your family!
I am thinking about buying a Dominiak cue; Super Plane Jane, Ultra (sneaky) Pete, or the Sweet 16.
I emailed and asked the time of completion.
I have been reading good things about the cues on these web pages.
Have you heard any negatives?
Dave
