Most Under Rated Cue Company

OK, we've done the most under rated custom cue "maker" many times before. But which production company is the most under rated? I love the old McDermotts, Meucci originals, Joss, and Schon. In my opinion though, Adam is the most under rated production cue today. Who do you think?

Are you talking cosmetically or how the cue hits and plays? If you're talking playability then regular Dufferin house cues are good as well as they're two piece cues. Also I have a Brunswick cue, no idea of the year but it's just a plain 21 oz cue and It plays as well as any cue I've ever hit with.

I would have to say Mezz. But Jacoby & Pechauer would have to be right there, too.

I have been reading these forums for several months and just recently got registered to post replys. I have been lucky enough to own some wonderful cues (Two Richard Blacks, just ordered a Richard Chudy) and I just traded a predator cue for a 22+ year old Schon. I myself would not put Schon Cues in the same category as a production cue. The one I got in the trade is either a R12 or a S13 made in 1981 or around that time. It has three shafts and is mint. Just thought I would put my two cents in the conversation.

most underated

Viking, by far. They are a good playiing cue, made in america and their shafts are normally straight. Butterflycues

IN addition to all of the above . . .

the McDermotts are a great bang for the buck cue. If you pick up the right one they are every bit as good as something that costs 4 - 6 times more. They're also not afraid of going into bars!

McDermott or Viking. I have both and love how they play. You can get either for next to nothing.

I will agree with the Dufferin house cue. For the money I dont think you can get a better cue than the Players line. I think they retail for about $50

Pechauer. Maybe not under-rated exactly, everyone knows they are good cues. But it just seems like their name is not brought up as often as McD, Schon, Viking, Joss etal. They are made in America and carry a lifetime warranty similar to McDermott's, including warpage.

Dufferin.Best hitting solid piece of wood I have. Bought it for ten bucks used.Do you really have to pay a lot for a straight piece of wood????

I couldn't agree more. I ran my high run in 14.1 with a Dufferin house cue. I've never understood all this business about expensive cues.

I think that SCHMELKE has a great cue at a really great price. They are terrific to deal with & their cues play good. THEY ARE MADE IN THE US of A..JER

Mali

I picked up a Mali in a thrift store once for $20 and it played pretty sporty...

I just gotta ask...did you run 441 with a Duf? If so, that's just amazing and you have my total respect!! Back on topic, I haven't played with a production cue since my Meucci way back when, but lots of folks think a Predator is pretty good.
:p

No, LOL! I ran 122 some years ago with the Dufferrin. my mr441 moniker is totally unrelated to pool.

I certainly wouldn't put Predator in the "under-rated" category, judging from all the hype they get. If anything you can find a bunch of people around here who think they are over-rated. For the record, I've no opinion. I've never played with one.
