T Rex update

This affair really brings sadness to my heart. After reading Mike Matusows bio, "Check Raising The Devil", I find that the whole legal system and the way of apprehending participants in the drug game is suspiciously corrupt. Friends are made to turn against friends, Cops and Govt. attorneys just want to incarcerate no matter what. Yes criminals should be punished for the destruction that they do to the communities but the whole circus revolving around the punishment to me is disgusting.
For someone as talented and brilliant as Tony is it is such a loss for the game we love. I hope that like Mike he can find some solution to this and come away a champion as Mike has. I give Mike credit. He was offered a deal if he could trap someone bigger than him, true or not. He refused to snitch on anyone and had to do time. People make mistakes and I hope rehabilitation and positive resolutions come out of this.
And with that being said you get no bets on me for this one.

I know John ('Jon' I believe is the correct spelling of his first name) Rion, Tony's attorney. Absolutely one of the top guys in Southwestern Ohio for over three decades. How Tony got him to take his case I have no idea. But he definitely has a good man representing him.

Jay,
There actually one of each. Jon and John.

I hope for Tony's sake that he has the better of the two, if they are not working together on the case.

Jay, I was standing with you in the buffet line at the Derby a few years back, when you were lecturing Durbin about his use of certain substances. His eyes were recessed about an inch back with dark circles and he replied he had really cut back. 2006 I believe.
Don Westbrooks

Tony is gonna play Red (Morgan Freeman) and Eric is gonna play Andy Dufraine (Tim Robbins) in the Ohio Penitentiarys' Fall Rendition of The Shawshank Redemption.

Well, being that it's public knowledge, it was bound to come out eventually. Sucks all the way around.

Eric

Well kinda.....the fact that Eric's name is listed is public record. The level of his involvement is the item of speculation. I had heard the same thing involving Eric, but I wasn't going to elaborate on it. I figured the people that needed to know already knew.

For official record they should use spell check.
What is his second felony for, "marihuana"?

Major pet peeve when official documents are not done up to par.

edit: after a few have commented, turns out this is actually an exceptable spelling. Learn something everyday.

The legal system does not work in this country, it is becoming a big prison, there are so many people locked up in the US if you put them in one place it would be a top 10 city! I had a friend who was a lawyer (public defender) and he told me that they trade cases like baseball cards, give me that case with a harsh penalty and I will let your other guy off light. Like my mother told me when I was a bad ass kid, "You do the crime, you do the time.". I do hope Tony turns around his life not just for himself but for his family.

And sometimes cases get thrown out of court due to misspelled documents.

We should have a closer look at our educational system than our legal system.

I have said it before, and I will say it again. When and IF -- a big "IF" here -- the truth of this fiasco is made public, people may come away with differing opinions.

I agree that Tony made a very bad decision and used poor judgment to get involved in this fiasco, but he is not a member of any drug cartel or involved in racketeering, et cetera, as are some of the other REPEAT OFFENDERS from the Buckeye State who are involved in this.

I have made some bad decisions in my younger life, some of which could have resulted in bad circumstances for me, LIFE-CHANGING circumstances. I just pray that someday Tony can pick himself up and move forward.
