AWESOME NEWS!!! The best!!!! For those of you that know me you know that I have been working on starting a billiards association in the Pasasdena Texas area. Park View Intermediate has agreed to have a billiards room on campus. Equipment will arrive monday morning. This brings me to two sites for the association. I almost jumped through the ceiling when the deal was closed.

I would like to thank Dawn Hopkins, Earl Munson, Ivan Lee, Mike Grosso, Scuffy1, Glenn Hancock, Diamond Billiards, Roy Pastor, Anthony Hendon, Terry Feist and Adam Taylor. I will be launching a website thanksgiving week. The program is being considered for the entire district. Pasadena is the 4th largest district in the state of Texas. This is the start of something huge for our kids and for the sport we love so much.

Dreams can and do come true. If your dream is on the shelf take it down and dust it off.

Congrats Marcus, and I wish you the best of luck with your new project. I am actually living in the Pasadena area and would be glad to help if you need anything or possibly another instructor.

Marcus, you and your supporters are to be commended for your actions, that will certainly bring pool to many new participants. This is what is right with pool, and may it continue the world over.

Ivan Lee is on board the BEF is on board among others. Earl Munson has been doing it for 8 years and Roy Pastor up in Massachusetts. I am so excited right now I really need to splash some water in my face. :eek:

Its those mad diplomacy skills bro!!!!!

Guys I don't know if you all know this but marcus and I pitched this idea around about 5years ago up in Natchitoches, LA. We were for sure going to do it there, then I moved to Tulsa, and He to Houston. We always kept in touch, and kept me updated with the ongoings about his ideas and plans.

So this has been a project of his for 5YEARS!!!! I want to commend a dear friend for putting in the time and hard work it took to get this done. I'm very proud of you and your accomplishing this as much as we both love the game (even if you like snooker more lmao)congrats on promoting a wonderful sport and past time for a kid to get into, it can help them find confidence, dedication amongst other things. So good job brother...i knew you would get it done...my turn now lol, let me know when I get to go help with all the chilrenz lol. Actually PM me partner I am thinking about a visit since we got sidelined by all things under the sun last week.

Doesn't feel like it was that long ago. The principal there had agreed to a room. However, times have always been hard for educators in Louisiana. When the opportunity opened up in Houston I had to go. There is still a possibility of St. Mary's High School adopting billiards as an activity. My mom is friends with the athletic director and the subject has come up as of late.

But who would run it? Can't have possum and Mr. Bob teaching those kids pool lmao. Is there any good candidate up there that you remember?

OHHH wait do you remember old man DOC that used to shoot up at rocks with me?(the only two white guys ever in the place lmao) Nice old man and he was a doctor...probably be great with kids.


I think I'm going to look into the boys and girls club in lafayette this week and see what they have as far a facilities go and start from there b/f I try the schools.

I'll tell you what though, I had to think long and hard to try and swallow that extra 1,000 mile drive back to Diamond from Denver...by way of Houston, TX....LOL...but I'll be there on Monday with the 5 8ft Valley tables Diamond and I donated to your program.
