That appears to be an insurmountable lead, as he sits with almost 50% more than 2nd place, and twice that of 3rd. But who knows!!

I was hoping they'd tell us how many votes were cast, but alas the article just states "thousands".

Other than the huge lead, the only other thing that sticks out is that Charlie W. is in 2nd. I woulda thunk Hatch and Schmidt would be 2 and 3. Perhaps Charlie is getting a big bump from voters in the far east. This being a "anyone with a computer can vote" it makes it more difficult to predict IMO.

That's great news!

IMO, Rodney gives the Team the best shot. You just can't substitute for experience!

I would be sick if Charlie Williams got in!

I find it very, very difficult to believe that CW is in 2nd place. Then again, he has been sending emails and text messages to the masses to vote for him. Since most of his promotions are in Asia, and since apparently anyone in the world can vote, I assume he has a large group of asians to vote his way that the other players do not have. I'd venture a guess that if only Americans were allowed to vote, CW would be at the bottom of the list. (JMO)

As would most of us. Him being in 2nd place is reason enough to cry foul. This is voting for the American team but yet there is no regulation on who can vote so people in other countries are also voting.

I voted for Rodney Morris.

I may not be a member of Charlie Williams' fan club, but I think he's paid his dues in the pool world. In fact, if he were to win, I believe he would deserve to be on the Mosconi Cup team representing Team USA.

Either way, Charlie still wins, as Rodney Morris is in the Dragon stable.

Anyone want to bet against Charlie Williams ending up on the team? Even if it takes a mysterious last-minute comeback, somehow I'm certain he'll end up "winning". I thought about posting this prediction when the voting opened up, but for some reason decided to stay quiet. Now that he's shockingly in second place, I'm calling it in his favor.

Pah-leeeze you gotta be kidding. Charlie Williams has more votes than someone Schmidt or Moore?

I guess either Charlie has a LOT of friends / family voting for him or we as a people are retarded.

hi

thats about how i figured it would go down.rodney is well known around the world from all his mosconi days.
charlie also is known around world for his play and promotions.
that being said i felt they would garner way to many votes for me to have a chance. since i never hardly leave usa etc.
at any rate charlie or rodney will be great assets to the team. they are both great players .good luck guys go do your thing

Well it looks like it is time to see if the software to eliminate double voting is a bluff. No way anybody but Rodney and CW have a chance. I would like to see AZ flex it's collective muscle, with everyone going back and casting another vote for Rodney.

WiFi Hotspots

Corey Deuel said the funniest thing during the shane donny match last night "hmm, I wonder, can the Europeans vote on this?" Roy who you vote for?

John I agree I haven't given up hope but they will both represent USA very well no matter who gets picked I just hope team USA wins!

On my facebook-site I told all my friends to vote for the American player that they believed would increase Team Europe's chances for success... :)

All's fair in love and war ;)

What's up Joe, see you in two weeks for Ocean State to defend my title!

I'll be there but believe it or not I might not even play! I've hit less than hundred balls since the last Joss event in May (who won that one?) Spent last 5 months trying to learn this freakin game of golf and the nice weather keeps hanging around here.
If I get a chance to practice I'll be there trying to stop you! GL

That's perfect Roy. Change the message to "cast your vote and please write in Joe Tucker on the ballot" at least then I can tell the kids I was nominated but edged out at the wire!
