Is it me or is he the John Madden of pool?? I cant stand it anymore. Its almost as if he floats in and out of the commentary. Anyone else feel this way???

As I understand it, John Madden never did actually play in the NFL. Bill Incardona on the other hand, does have professional 9-Ball titles to his credit.

Ahahaha

He just explains the obvious and just some of his comments on the play of the game is just so elementary. Its amusing most of the time but there are other times that he just grates on my nerves.

Madden was drafted to the NFL but injured his knee in training camp and never played!

You are correct Corey.

He was a great coach though, as he knew the game VERY well.

Hi. I never did get to reply to your visitor message, but I was reminded when I saw your name on this thread.

I like Billy Incardona as a commentator in pool. Each commentator has their own distinctive style, but I really do like Billy's, and he's right on the money most times. When he calls a shot ahead of time, that's the shot the player usually takes most times. He's a pro for sure.

Of course, we can have our own likes and dislikes. I like that Waddell guy from England, too, and there are some who can't stand him :o

Hey, where do you play in D.C.? Man, you gotta get out to the burbs.

Here's a cute Billy shot! :)

I like Billy as a commentator. We are lucky to have him post here occasionally too.

Dude, have you ever watched pool on ESPN????

Billy Incardona is the best commentator to ever grace the booth. He makes guys like Mitch Laurence and Allen Hopkins look like amateurs.

And really, what would you like for him to talk about during the matches if not shot selection and strategy, mixed with some old road stories?

You can play with a chop stick for all i care. Just bring your money

I'm a little rusty, so I may bring my partner with me. :)

Though he ain't hit a ball in 3 years, he really does love pool. How much cheese should we bring?

No disrespect to RunoutJJ, but my opinion is that he couldn't be more wrong.

Billy Incardona is the voice of pool. He often takes the commentary modestly, facilitating the process for his cocommentator, but he gets the information out clearly.

I've met him many times, watched him make games, play, practice and show respect to others... he has always been a class act.

To add to what Corey has already noted, Billy is a champion player turned commentator. He isn't a journalist or TV face man, he is the real deal.

You know, there's another thing about Billy Incardona that I realized a short time ago. Now, maybe he really has old-school manners, but, in all my interactions with Billy Incardona, I have never heard him curse, not one time.

For a pool player, that is quite unusual! :o

I offered my 2 cents about liking Incardona. If not him, who is it that you like in the booth??? just asking.

There is an Accu-Stat tape (I think it was Troy Frank vs. Efren, 9 ball finals at the first DCC), where he refers to a player sh*tting a ball in...and then quietly said, "Oops".
