Thank you all so very much for your good wishes. :)

I am still on Cloud Nine right now. :joyful::joyful::joyful:

We Googled the man's name, and this is really for real. This guy does work for the Screen Actors Guild. We have to fax him some paperwork tomorrow morning, and then it takes a week or so for them to cut the check.

I think I may give him my FedEx number, so that we can get the check quicker.

I just can't stop smiling. I haven't been this happy in a long time. Keith has been grinning from ear to ear ever since that man called.

These funds are going to really make a change for the better in Keith's world. Life is good! :smiling-heart:

Okay. I know I'm getting a little giddy, but here's the link. I just gotta watch it again and again and again. LOL

what great news, I just went out to go pick up the hustler and they did not have it...but they had TCOM, I'll be seeing Keith tonight :)

congrats,
Grey Ghost

Great news Jam!!! I don't know if I'd of made it public though...the phone will start ringing all hours of the night. Reminds me a bit from a scene in the movie The Jerk. A line of people needing help...."man Keith I really need your help bad, the leather seats in my airplane are getting all worn & cracked".

Congratulations Jenny and Keith! Put most of it in a safe place to give you peace of mind, but do something fun with some of it as soon as you get it in your hands!

Wow how huge for you two, that's just so exciting.

I wonder if they have been looking for the rest of the pool
players like Grady?

It's great when something good happens to nice people.

lots of hugs

They must not of been looking too hard!!! Anyone on this forum or just about any pro player could of gotten them in contact with Keith in a few minutes! Twenty two years is a long time to be looking for someone.

I am happy that they finally got in contact with Keith and he is getting what he deserves!

I'm pretty sure Grady has been getting his royalties, thank goodness. I remember speaking with Randi about it. They were surprised that Keith wasn't getting any checks. :(

Keith never had a permanent address for any length of time, for a variety of reasons, I guess. :o

Speaking of Grady, I received a PM this morning from a friend of his who stated that Grady's spirits were down. I am going make sure to have Keith call him. Whenever the two of them talk, even if it is only by phone, they always seem to share a few laughs.

Wow!

Really happy for you guys. I hope it comes quickly and multiplies while on the way!!! Be sure to celebrate in some way.

congrats!

AND...it gets better!

I recently read in Popular mechanics...Popular Science...or some magazine about all the technical difficulties they had with the lighting, and cameras. It seems the lighting threw off the color of the tables (from green cloth-to blue...or vice versa) as well as a lot of other things.

They are correcting it...and it will be re-released. They are going to 'clean up' digitally, the whole movie.

Ask Keith about the color of the cloth...he'd know what color the original tables were....

The article said the color wasn't the same in the movie, as in person.

That can only be good news for him....It's ABOUT time.

Wow, that is so interesting.

Have you seen that redone "Hustler" DVD with the trailors at the beginning, along with interviews? They have interviews with some of the actors in the movie, directors, and Mike Massey even displays a couple of shots that were in that movie.

I would love to see them do that for "The Color of Money," a redone DVD with tidbits. Of course, Paul Newman is gone now. I'm sure Mike Sigel will volunteer to provide some interviews. :grin-square:

I think I might have just gotten a little of my enthusiasm back for pool, by golly! :love2:

Fantastic News

That is great that Keith will finally be getting royalties. Since it is the movie that Paul Newman won his Best Actor Oscar for, it should keep making money for a long time.

I have the DVD, but I need to get the new version on Blu-Ray.

I like the way you think, Cuaba. LOL! :grin-square:

congrats. One of my favorite movies of all times. When Keith tells Vince "It's not that hard of a shot" is one of my favorite parts. I bet several people on the stall, like Vince, have let their pride get the better of them because of little coments like that in real pool action.

well apparently they didnt try that hard to find him because you could have checked any 3 pool rooms in america and within a hour you could have found him probably.....after all this time i would be wondering where my interest is on my money that was being held :D

LOL! Of course, that thought crossed my mind too! :o

I guess those movie folk never take a walk on the wild side and mingle with us pool folk. :grin-square:
