Personally the only thing ive ever Used are Lepro, Triangle, Waterbuffalo...
i had a guy put a layered tip on once not sure of the brand but it had a soft spot in it(cueball would jump off funny feeling sometimes)....and i had it removed after a few days, havent tried layered since.

Lepro's are good tips , buy a box of 50 at wholesale and Cherry Pick the 5 best and give the rest away....the best 5 in the box will be as good as any

How can you tell which ones are the goods one? I always thought you only knew if a tip was a good one or bad one after you put it on and hit a few balls with it.

Thanks.

Super Pro, Talisman hard or x hard, Morri Quick. Any of these are ok with me.

Right now I am using Kamui Black H and Talisman WB H. I like them both.

And in case you are wondering, I am using a double tipped stick and the girls love it....... :)

I was a devoted moori user !!!! WAS !!

I would always have moori med. on all my shaft. But a few years back I noticed changes , and miscueing alot. I checked the tips out and they looked to be glazing over, to a shine on them after awhile. I would ruffin them up and use a tip pick , but then a guy I was playing with , told me about wizard tips and I hit some balls with his cue , And the old familair feel was back. I don't know but I think they feel like the way the old moori tips used to play like. I think moori changed with in the last couple years I know the packageing did, and the price sure as heck did. But I now play with wizard mediums on all my shafts now, I did try kamui tips to and I liked tose also but when I compared prices my pick is definetly wizards. Infacted I just had an extra shaft made for a cue I just had built , and he put a everest on it cause I forgot to send another wizard to him at the time when he was installing the tip so he put a tip on he stocks. Well I didn't get around to it yet but it's getting cue off and my trusty wizard is going on it. I hit someballs with the new shaft to get a feel of it cause I had this one made alittle stiffer with a mason micarta ferrule on it. But the tip just is not to my likeing. Well thinking of it I have some free time so it's comeing off now. Well that my opinion on tips <<ED

I am using an emerald tip tight now. I am going to try the kamui black hard as soon as I can find a reason to take off the emerald but it plays great.

re-run your survey . . .

Add Wizard as well to the list . . . several guys in here play with those based on the cost to performance ratio . . .

wow.

nobody uses a LePro or waterbuffalo tip anymore???? its amazing how Marketing controlls Pocket game trends these days.

Elkmaster kindof has a niche market for those that like soft shaggy carpet for a cuetip:wink:....

personally i like using a Lepro
i like working on my tip everytime before i play
i also like the fact that they dont last forever and have to be changed every couple months.
they are cheap.
They work.
i know a few great amatures that use Lepro's still.
There was a time when thats all anybody wanted for a tip....what happened.(i suppose there was a time when all anybody wanted was a Meucci cue as well thou)

Just change from Wizard Mediums to Kamui Black Super Soft. Believe the hype! Kamui Blacks are so nice I can't get over it. The Super Softs are equivalent to the Wizard Mediums when they are new. Don't know why they call them super soft, more like a medium that stays a medium.
I didn't want to like them because of the price, but you know how that goes!

Been using Everest tips & like them a lot, Just starting to get a read on Kamui Black SS, and I suspect I may transition over to them. Haven't got one installed on one of my main player shafts yet, so I haven't been able to compare apples to apples.

I have been a moori fan for years, but .... I had the opportunity to try the Everest tip (red line) by Tiger about half a year ago ..... I'm in the process of changing all my sticks to this tip. It spins the H^&%#&*&ll out of the cue ball !!!
