Help sponsor Larry Nevel at the DCC - $100 per share

sounds like a good way out of this melting pot !

good move larry , before and after people raised the questions and got some answers that you invoked by being so very unclear in you OP.
I for one will always decline on any of your adventures. good luck anyway.

Are you serious? Do you know how to spell retard? Out of this melting pot?

WOW! How many retards are on this thread!?

Did john schmidt come here back in 2006 and ask to be staked in the us open and he wanted like $1700 or something? It wasn't bad of him to do that, so why is it bad this time?

As much as we've disagreed in the past Donny, I 100% agree with you here. And to the people that don't want to put up any money just because of how often Larry posts, how many posts did John have before he asked for that stake? I'm guessing it couldn't have been many more, if any, than Larry has right now. SVB has account on here and hardly ever posts but I bet if he got on right now and asked to be staked people would jump all over it.

Funny - no one seemed to mind when Mary Rakin came on here asking for DONATIONS for her pool career. And she had never posted at all. If you search all her threads, some of the people that didn't mind are the ones that mind here.

Personally, I consider the fact that she was asking for donations whilst going to school full time is a little different. She has more important things in her life to do besides post in a pool forum. (Studying, and playing pool at the same time)

To me, Mary comes across as a person who is making the right choices in her life, and does have genuine appreciation for the pool community. Yes, her first appearance on the forum was to ask for money, but afterwards, she has actually kept us all updated with what is going on in her life and competitively.

I hope that Larry is in action every day and night at the DCC. That would be just as good to watch as him playing in the tournaments. If he uses the $2000 to get into action and get him jump started, even better for all of us. I am sure that TAR will be streaming it for FREE. Besides, after I hand Larry the 2 dimes he has no idea but I will now be his new best friend and third base coach.

Also, remember that the top 4 players from each country won't be in all, if any of the events at the DCC this year due to the poor scheduling by the promoters in Europe. This gives Larry an even greater chance to bring home the all around as well as individual titles.

I wasn't commenting that I felt Mary was wrong in doing so - just that Larry is not alone in coming on AZ.

And Larry has already kept us updated on what is going on in his life - suprnva relayed that today he is practicing and drinking coffee.

Originally I would have agreed with you, I love pool, support pool, and like this forum (when I am un-banned). The etiquette of this sort of thing is new to me, so I didn't question it from the begining, I just figured I had a good chance of breaking even at a minimum as Larry has a shot at winning almost all events. Maybe Jay could jump in and enlighten me/us as to why he pulled out vs. your thoughts quoted above? I trust Jay's opinion, decisions, and thought process on things pool related.

Ever think out things in your own brain? I remember in another thread you told me you no longer have any interest in my tournament wins etc. or something like that, and it was over something really retarded.

I wanna bet the under on you and oldzillas combined IQ. I put it at 158

The original post implies that he is looking for a backer for the event. That would normally include travel expense, entry fees and lodging. Food is usually not part of this equation. You have to eat wherever you are.

Taking the above into account, I could see where $1,900 was not out of line. A fairly typical deal where the stake horse gets their money back first and then whatever remains is split 50-50 with the player.

When I discovered that there was no hotel or entry fees involved, I could not justify the cost of $1,900 (or $2,000) to stake Larry. I wish Larry the best of luck at DCC. Maybe he will take part of that money and jump into the Fatboy Challenge for $500. That would make sense for him and his backers.

P.S. The number of posts Larry has on here had nothing to do with my decision.

how smart ya gotta be to memorize a bowling movie ? lol

Oh, wait, I almost forgot. In 2007 he played some guy in Knoxville some races to 7 for $25 before a tournament to get warmed up. He won a couple sets. Does that count? lol.

Hush....you are blowing my action fool.

That's a very interesting idea. Would you, or anyone, be more willing to throw their $100 in if he was to use $500 of it towards the Fatboy Challenge? Because he and I spoke so briefly before I'm not 100% sure what each penny is being used for so I can't say if the Fatboy would be possible, but it's an idea at least. Also, everything is still based on him and the individual that e-mailed him working something out or not.

Hush....you are blowing my action fool.

Blowing it, I think by stating that you can't beat Larry you are going to get flooded with offers to play! You should be thanking me and shipping me 10% of all your action from now until the end of time! lol.

How the hell did you think this was at all pointed or related to you? You can just fvck right off douche bag, I don't care about your tournament winnings, how you do in gambling, or if you slip right back into the hole you crawled out of.

Please explain to me how the post that you quoted from me has absolutely anything to do with you and your tournament wins?

Talk to you soon my little one trick pony.....

I have a secret horse at dcc for the 1 pocket tourney..and would not be surprised if he does well. initials are k.c. just sayin..under the radar guy..

I knew Kenny Chesney had stopped touring but do you really think he has a chance to place that well this year??????
