pickle in a pickle

And there it is...the difference between cigarettes and meth/ crack/ pills. They cannot be considered the same.

And legal hallucinogenics. Ouch!

You mean like Orange Barrel Sunshine, Window Pane, or Mr. Natural, seeing visions of multi-colored snowflakes falling all around you while striped blades of grass sway in the wind? I agree.

Substance abuse can take good people and turn them into criminals. It's quite sad, really.

One out of every 100 Americans today is incarcerated, and over 85 percent of the crimes they were convicted of involved drugs.

Today, the drug of choice seems to be prescription pills. The article stated the alleged robbers were wondering where all the pills were as they went through the house of Kashola [What a name!].

If this is, indeed, Bobby, this ain't his first rodeo on the other side of the law. If he's still on parole, he's not only looking at facing time on this charge, but he'll most definitely be facing time for a violation of his parole, which in some cases can give you more time than most new charges.

I'm sure this thread will turn into a flame, but the Bobby Pickle I know isn't a bad guy. Substance abuse raises its ugly head once again and takes good men and turns them into monsters. :(

With tough economic times in our country, I think they should just legalize drugs. Incarceration is so expensive that there's not enough prisons. Some jails today are run by commercial vendors.

Alcohol and cigarettes can kill you, but they're legal, and so too should be drugs. If people want to abuse alcohol, cigarettes, or drugs, then it is their choice. The financial after-effects of illegal drugs today, e.g., the judiciary, prisons, legal fees, hospitals, et cetera, is coming out of my taxpayer dollars.

Here's Bobby Pickle, depicted in the middle, between two Keiths during better times at the U.S. Open.

I'm not mad at you for posting this but I don't get the logic that drugs turn people into monsters therefore we should legalize them. Aside from that, impersonating a police officer while committing an armed robbery will result in some serious time. That's a bad idea on top of a bad idea.

Totally agree with you, FWIW!

Jail usually has been the deterrent for some crimes, but it doesn't work anymore. The system is broke.

There are a couple of pool stars today, who shall remain unnamed, who did a lot of time in jail related to drugs and/or substance abuse. They came out of jail, learned from their mistakes in life, and today shoot pool around the world representing the United States. IOW, they turned their lives around, KWIM?

I don't agree with substance abuse of any kind, to include drugs. I just think if they were legal, it would eliminate a growing problem that is bankrupting some States' economies. There are not enough prisons to house these offenders. If they cannot legalize drugs, then there needs to be another deterrent or punishment, aside from prison, IMO.

Where are all the Pickle supporters like the last time when he was arrested? Remember he was such a great guy and blah blah blah, barf. I think he is at his best when he has you zip tied and is going through your stuff. Maybe he plays the guitar while going through your stuff? We need more guys like this in the pool world. I wish I had a sister that I could introduce him to.

I was hopeing you would get involved in this thread(your handle is my favorite on AZ)

Bobby is around 50, Funny guy, I only met him a few times a few years ago and liked him. His last beef I truely believe he was at the wrong place at at the wrong time. He isnt pure but that was a bad beef. His lifestyle make good people do some off the wall shit. I wish him the best-he needs a 90 day in patient clinick and a sober living envoorment for a long time after. I truely hope that happens.

Would someone please just post a picture of a pickle in a criminal line up and get it overwith? I know it's going to happen sooner or later, so let's just get it overwith.

They were perfectly legal until the mid 60's. LSD discovered in the 30's (?) with many famous people admitted users.

Remind me again, how many acid fueled murders took place in the 30+ yrs it was legal? The only ones I can think of are the Tate/Labianca murders that cult leader Charles Manson ordered.

How many murders took place over booze and it's distribution and sale in the prohibition era, a time when Walgreens expanded from about 27 stores to over 500 because of prescription alcohol sales?

People are going to take drugs whether they are legal or not. It is in our nature to alter our consciousness. We all learned to do it spinning in circles until we were too dizzy to stand. Nearly every creature in the animal kingdom injests something to alter it's consciouness whether it is fermented fruit or berries or catnip or coca leaf or tea or coffee. We discovered many of these mood altering drugs through observation of animals.

Remove the the ban and the black market falters. Drug wars don't take place to control drug corners and gang bangers don't have the money to fight over.

Tickle Me Elmo Doll

I know a guy who actually worked at the factory where they produced the 'Tickle Me Elmo' dolls. He worked in quality control and had to make sure that when you tickled the doll it responded with the appropriate laughter.

He finally had enough after a year or so and quit. He told management that there's only so many 'test tickles' he could handle.

Best,
Brian kc

Hey Brian,

I need one to take on my next crime spree.
If he has an extra one for sale please post some pics and specs.
Be sure and include a few "zip-ties".
I can Paypal the funds.

Peace

Ted

Pickle

I mean, it's possible it could be somebody else, but I can't imagine there are many with the last name of "Pickle." :(

Here's an InsidePOOL article about Bobby which states he was born in the "early sixties" and picked up a pool cue at the age of five: Bobby Pickle. [retrieved 31 August 2010]

What about the singer Kelly Pickle ? any relation?

almost everyone i know works a job that they f*cking hate. i don't mean they don't like doing it. i mean they hate it to the point that they'd rather suck d*ck for money than do it.

I don't know about the rest of this thread, but I can definately say that even on my worst day on the job, I've never sat down and said to myself "I'd rather be sucking a d*ck for my money."
