Like to Buy a $3,000 Cue for $500!

Hi all,

Well, selling cues these days isn't all that great, due to our lovely economy, so I've decided to become a buyer.

I have been offered 10-30% of what most of the cues I've sold recently were worth, so I figure $500 in CASH MONEY should at least get me a cue worth $3,000.

Please send me all your offers and remember, I don't want $1,500 cues, so don't offer up your plain SWs or Harris'. I also prefer that they be in absolutely perfect condition, and if you have a Fellini case that is in great condition, I'll be willing to add an extra $50 (but it would have to be almost perfect, too).

I have a $3000 Meucci I may sell for $500.
The cue is worth $3000 because it has a rare multi-colored stain on the forearm, and it's an meucci original 2-pointer.
Very rare, one shaft.

Ok..my neighbor's cousin's great uncle is supposed to be selling his cue collection...he says I can buy them real cheap....don't know who made the cues but my neighbor's cousin says there worth thousands...but before I ever show u any pics or give u prices...show me what u have to trade? Please send me detailed pics...I also want to know all specs including balance point...along with any history u may have on each cue...please send all this info asap. (so I can look at it and never respond back to u whatsoever!)

Wow! What a small world.

Be aware that some of those cues have single layer tips, which is why I didn't buy them.

I can only assume that Steve will adjust his offer accordingly......

Books you forgot! Im sorry i do not have a paypal account could you send me a money order. When i receive payment i will ship the cue out asap.
Will send you notification when i ship the cue. I have 100% feedback(1 or 2) so i will never ship the cue and never respond back to u whatsoever until AZ members track me down and im confronted with legal action. Then i still will try to buy time by sending you pm's explaining my situation.:D

Welcome to the world of dealing with pool players and cue buyers in general.

How would you feel if it was the way you made your living. I truely feel for those guys.

I never buy anything I wouldn't be happy keeping for we all know how strange this market can be and how small the buyer community really is.

LMAO...well that the market now a day for you....seem to be getting a lot more Lowball offers on AZ and ebay as of late. Generally, the buyers on AZ are more knowledgeable but that doesn't seem to matter anymore...if you want to sell on AZ...it has to be a steal of a deal! :) (I'm in the same camp unless it's something I really like). Probably one of the reason why everyone on AZ start their prices a little higher here now. Trades on AZ seems to be working well for me, thought...probably the way to go for now as cash is tight.

i have an unbelievable custom i'll let it go @$800.00, cue was vandelized needs refinish + shaft.

Low ballers

Yeah, I currently have posted a beautiful special edition Predator cue easily worth $1,300 and am asking $900. Listing clearly states "no low ballers". Then the onslaught of dweebs asking if I will take $600 or a used sneaky pete in trade. Insulting really and usually the same posters.

I stopped selling 2 popular production brands because everybody wanted them at my wholesale price. Couldn't give them away at 40% MSRP new. Unable to sell $1000 cues for $550.

I just buy what I like now, dirt cheap and hold onto it until I find somebody who understands what a great deal they are getting. Or I keep it.
 
Hmm. My perspective is somewhat different. The prices i see quoted appear crazy to me and I don't mean low. I suspect this is just a long overdue market correction. All prices can halve and then halve again IMO. I see some people offering second hand production cues for 10% less you can buy them brand new - utter madness. Now THAT is insulting.
