well i see that allison fisher has not won a wpba event at all this year she does well against others but when she is playing the younger ones they seem to know allisons game ~BJ

Hello Travis, I have not seen you post for a while I hope that everything is alright. The reason Allison has been having trouble with her game is because the Original Cuetec Cue she played with for many many years was broken by a drunkin Salor. It is really a shame but it may take her a year or more to get use to her new Cuetec.

Although Allison is not old , she has been a warrior a lot of years.
She was a snooker champion for many years before she ever came to the United States.
She has nothing left to prove and I would think it would be difficult to get excited about matches like she once did.
Every battle with a monster takes a little piece of you, after a while there just aren't many pieces left. Allison and Efren have been 2 great ambassadors for pool for many years.
Alas , I am afraid their best years are behind them.

Her greatness can never be diminished at this point. She is a legend at a very young age. Priorities change, as life does. Desire and talent overcomes all. Noone in history remains the best over the course of a lifetime. But, I don't think she is done yet.

I don't have room in my house for a pool table so I bought a Global Bar Box for $150 (took a lot of negotiation). Put it out on my covered patio. Had Simonis 860 Tournament Blue installed with new K-55 cushions. Plays absolutely great for a 7 footer. Didn't want to leave my good cue outdoors so bought a used Cuetec (white Earl Stricklan model) here on the forum for $25. Thought the Cuetec should holdup in an outdoor environment. With that background, let me now say that the Cuetec plays extremely well. So you all can blast Cuetec, but they are a pretty good cue, I'm pretty happy with it. Now I only use my Schon when I play on the 9 foot Gandy's in my Community Center. Personally, I don't think Allison would play any better with a $5000 custom cue. She's still the one to watch in any Tournament. Old chicken make good soup.
At the very least, leaving it outside, chances of it being stolen are pretty slim.
Thanks for the concern but I keep it inside the garage right near the patio door. I live in a gated community with almost a zero crime rate but I'm still careful. The only thing I leave on the patio is the table itself and a Spectator chair I was lucky to find on Craigslist. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Playing on a 7 foot table makes me feel almost like a pro. I can make some terrific shots and super bank shots. When I play on the 9 foot Gandy, I don't do nearly as well. The 7 footer gives me a lot of practice time. Running thru some Joe Tucker stuff now. One day, maybe I'll perform as well on a nine-footer.

Allison, Jasmine, and Ga Young Kim are my favorite female players (but I do enjoy watching Vivian Villareal). As true in every sport, there's always bright new young stars rising. But my hat's off to Allison and Earl the Pearl.
