First off I would like to say that Earl is my favorite player of all time. He has a passion for the game that I don't believe anyone can come close to matching outside of Mike Massey. I believe that this game is far more than a game, or a way to make money to Earl and because of that I have the utmost respect for him.
Because of this passion I also believe that Earl is hyper-sensitive to everything and anything that might be happening around him. I won't say that he is always wrong, but I also certainly won't say that he is always right either.
Regardless of what you think of Earl you most likely will never see another person do what he has done in 9 ball in your lifetime. And keep in mind that while Mosconi's record still stands......not many play 14.1 full time while quite a few play 9 ball full time. Nine ball happens to be the game that Earl has won 5 US Opens and an armload of other titles.
Edit: Nevermind
