Do you think that the crowd will be as into it as much as the europe crowd was last year?? WIll there be a stream with Justin or just a pirated feed from Sky Sports???

What does everybody think?? What would you like to see?? Please keep Earl out of this topic.... We all know he aint playing :o

I know you said to keep Earl out of it, but I wonder who'll actually be in it.

Since the boys say that many of them won't play if Earl is on the team...now many of those same boys are calling out the points leader, Mike Dechaine because they don't like how he's acts around them.

Is it a team, or is it a boys club?

Of course NOT!!!!! When has the US crowd ever been close to the European crowd? Second, the US crowd doesn't have that HUGE hall in Europe. This is sort of a ridulous question for us who have watched the Mosconi Cup for a number of years. But, I will give you a pardon if last year was your 1st year in watching.

they will play, they will not give up the free money for playing.

I personally hope they don't play if Earl makes it we don't need people like that on our team.

Good old boys club. Johnnyt

And the cheif of that club is Johnny Archer. Wouldn't surprise me in the least is he was behind this pulling strings are stirring up stuff to get Mike out of the cup so his good buddy Shawn Putnam could get in. IF that was the case just hand the cup to Europe now because if people called Karl Boyse a weak link wth is Putnam.

Oh, How right you are

You are right also. We don't need champions such as Earl who can hold up to the pressure. We need polite people who know how to dog it.
His record says it all

IMO the European fans are rooting "against" team America more then they are rooting "for" team Europe. Yes, they really get into the competition, but the loudest and most excited they get is when they get someone to root against such as Earl or last year Dennis. Say what you will about the American fans, one thing they tend not to do is get obnoxious and attempt to rip into a member of the opposing team.

If the European fans did not have that negative aspect of their fandom and stuck to simply supporting their team and not trying to get to the opposing team the crowd would be alot quieter, like the Americans.

Some of the European fans seem to have a wee bit of the soccer hooligan mentality when watching the Mosconi Cup live and America has nothing like that to compare.

First thing I thought of was Mike is the points leader for the 2011 cup, but I guess he's not one of the good old boys. Johnnyt

I'm an American and want our team to win. With thats said: Team Europe is just flat out better. Coupled with the "***** like" bickering regarding Earl and now Deschaine.......the USA really doesn't have a prayer.

Personally I would love to see Putnam's punks boycott the Mosconi cup because of Earl. Then have Earl,Deschaine,Jesse Engle,Brandon Shuff, and Jon Pinegar go play lights out and beat the Euro's. No, this wouldn't be a better team.....but I want to root for guys who want to win first and foremost.....

This team is the property of the USA/fans. This isn't the personal possesion of Johnny Archer or anyone else. They need to stop acting like it is and go play f#%^&*@ pool.

Lastly: Shane needs to distance himself from this bullshit. Its not his style and I would hope he doesn't start getting caught up in this crap.

I very much doubt any American crowd could produce the atmosphere of York Hall in 2010. Europe has a football/soccer tradition where creating such

an atmosphere is the norm. If you watch an NBA match live, all the crowd does, is stare at the giant video cube and follow the stupid commercials, like

the Bud Light Kiss of the Game. Occasionally people scream "defense" if the video cube tells them to. JMHO of course.

Alcohol helps though, so that might be the way to go.

boys club

that's funny !! I say put SVB ,Dechaine ,Archer , and Earl on the team.Let Kim Davenport be the captian .Fill the other spots however you want but at least send our best .At one time I know Earl had been on the team 14 consecutive years .It's not a popularity contest , it's about who can win and has the most consistent record of doing so .Sorry you said keep Earl out of it .....I know.

I highly doubt TAR will be doing the stream since Matchroom historically does there own production and there is a TV contract for delayed telecast in the US.

As for Archer and company not playing if Earl is on the team, let's just wait and see on that. It seems like these rumblings are more saber rattling/chest beating to perhaps influence events than they are actual threats. JA gave himself an out with the statement he made and I think he will have sorely mis-judged what the reaction of the fans would be. I'm far from being a fan of Earls antics but if he earns his way on to the team most US fans would consider it treason for JA and his posse to not play. Secondly, we're not talking about stupid rich athletes here. The money and having another Cup team on the resume will likely over-ride a boycott.
