thats posible but at the 10 ball tournemnt in May in Vegas Dechaine run a 8 pack on them, he told me they were easier, so did Shane. I played on them and they seem easier to me as well. the rails arnt as boingy and its easier to control the rock. so pehaps the pockets are the same cut, shelfs are the same but the boingy factor is different.
Shane went over and played Alex for $19,000 race to 40, he won 40-20, when we were in the room counting the $$$ we talked about the table in Cue Club and the tournment. The Cue Club table has a slow bed and boingy rails, Shane said in the whole session Alex ran a 3 and he ran a 2. I asked "Then why at the tournement was there packages and nothing in 60 games with Alex tonight?". He said what I expected "the rails are not as boingy and he could make more balls(more consistantly with shape on the new table-not total balls on the break) on the break and the CB was not getting kicked as often on the break on the new tables." On the old tables the CB gets kicked more often on the break, so less BNR's. How can anyone argue with Shane? please dont shoot me-i'm just the messanger. I been waiting for this thread to pop up so I could say this. Shane likes the new tables and the old ones too. He made it clear there is a difference. I didnt talk to Alex, but props to him for playing hard that nite.
respectfully
