Hits them pretty sporty.

Everyone's a champion when the misses are edited out.
I don't know who he is.
Tilted table.
You can't generate that kind of action from the ob if you shoot that softly, you have to shoot it 100mph. The 3rd and some of the later shots are believable though...

If you shoot this shot softly, with extreme spin, it will grab the object ball and throw it, gaining speed from the spin. When I have a thin cut and need to keep the cue ball travel to a minimum, I will spin the ball in. It pushes the ball to the hole, cuts it thinner because it eliminates cut induced throw, and doesn't take any speed at all to use.
The only time it will gain speed is if it hits a rail and the spin grabs. I usually dig into the cue ball a little so the spin wears off quickly and is not spinning when it hits the rail. It depends also on the object ball distance from the rail. Harder to kill the spin when it is close to the rail.
Best,
Mike
I could believe that hitting the shot super thin using extreme english with a slow to moderate speed would transfer a little extra energy to the object ball but not enough to run the ball 5 ft. as shown in one of the shots in the video.
I think this can only be acomplished on a super fast table. I'd be curious what the fabric is like?
Mike-
'Dig in'. I've heard this term but don't know what it means.
Is this the 'drag' shot? where the draw wears off, and the ball turns over(starts to roll) but the side spin remains, to create that gear action to throw the thinly cut ob to the pocket?
Can you or someone describe the term 'dig in", please.
thanks
The shots can be done on standard Simonis.I could believe that hitting the shot super thin using extreme english with a slow to moderate speed would transfer a little extra energy to the object ball but not enough to run the ball 5 ft. as shown in one of the shots in the video.

Look at this video,is the 3rd shot in the video even possible?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAZxBgWCEBk
Bob,
Is it just me, or does the cueball speed seem a little fast compared to the object ball.
He may be using a heavy cueball, which makes it a little easier to get more side spin, right?
