Probably no different in any other activity. We draw from the human race, at least for now.
 
How quickly Marty forgets.
If Marty wants to talk lawsuit, I'm sure I'm not the only one who could bring up terroristic threats.
I wonder how many people have saved Marty's words over the years?:rolleyes:

Ive deleted my post even after marty has threatened to shoot me several times .after seeing one of his shows I feel sorry for him and hope he receives some help.

Maaaahty really is a sweetheart. I picture him getting all apoplectic in front of his computer and it cracks me up. Thing is Marty seems like the kind of shit house rat crazy that could actually be dangerous in the right setting. You know the knock in you the back of the head when you are not looking type or worse if he was all worked up and the situation presented itself where he thought he could get away with it.

When I worked bars I always paid close attention to guys like that. The best thing is when one crazy guy would make the mistake of going all Marty on someone he didnt know who turned out to be even crazier than he was. Those usually ended with cops and medics. Fun to watch though.

Can't wait to see how this whole Marty thing ends.
 
y'all know that you probably cannot prove that "propoolplayer" is Marty on any of these chats don't you?

There is probably an electronic trail somewhere but good luck getting access to it.

Why is is that everyone claiming to be a pro by using "pro" in their internet handles never won any top titles? This is the only sport where you are a professional just by saying you are one.

I think I am going to claim to be a pro from now on. Make a web page and everything.

I bet I could land some corporate gigs, impress the clueless, and feel really superior on internet message boards.......

The guys at the corner bar already think I am a pro so why not.

From now on you will all address me as ProPlayer1 - got it?

2) I accepted and he said he would come to my poolroom to play.

4) The game was playing even races to 300 for 3K a set (3 sets min.)
5) I called out Mr. Herman Tuesday on the WJC tournament and he said come to Boston
6) I said ok just post with any reputable person or room owner because thats a long trip for me.
7) He seemed to not want to talk after that.
8) Mr.Herman proceeded to threaten my life as far to say he would put a bullet in my head.
9) Marty Herman sent a message to me and basically apoligized for his comments.
10) I forgave him and he posted another a challenge back to me and i accepted and Marty threatened me again with a bullet in my head.

you are amazing wrldpro to keep your cool, if i ever 'lose it' like that; i hope i have your cell number to vent and get me back in "balance".

most of you know more than me, but if i am not mistaken? - not sure? - but i think i heard years ago he was a very smart guy, irritating, but very, very intelligent

anyway, it appears evident he lost his balance. and i heard that long ago too.

imho, despite that, at least to me, it is sad. while i understand how irritating it can be, how unusual it can be trying to deal with someone with this type of affliction; again imho, it serves no gain to ridicule or embarrass him further

imho he has demons far beyond what you or i can conceive that he deals with

i hope i am not out of line here, but to AzHousePro and you and all, i think we should just delete these threads. no good for "anybody" can come from these threads...

if you guys feel i am wrong - i'll take the heat, but it is truly my felling and i know you are all such good guys...

He could give the WORLD the 5 out in the nuts department. I remember him having a supposed Scruggs cue for sale. The logo looked like it was Sharpied on it. I mean it was a BIG logo. And when I say big, I meant like the T and S were like 1 inch tall each. I said the logo looked jacked up. He sends me an email threatening me and that I didnt know anything at all about cues. Ends up cussing me, threatens me and ended up selling the cue to some poor sucker for like 500-600. The guy is scum as far as I am concerned and if I ever see anything that has his name attached to it, I will stay away.

And come on, 570 people watching a day. I could put a show of me sitting on the john picking my nose and I will get that many watching a day. Probably 1000 if I guarantee I will eat it. Total nutjob.
 
I believe Marty Herman may suffer from a medical problem, and I do not believe he understands thoroughly how his actions may affect others. It is a shame that his words are abrasive, as it does nothing to promote his cause, whatever that cause may be.

I have a niece that is bipolar. She is fine as long as she takes her meds, but when she goes off her meds, she exhibits abnormal behavior, sometimes what I would term as "abrasive."

Threads like this, IMO, is like poking a stick at a rabid raccoon. The raccoon is sick and does not understand why everybody is poking a stick at him. The raccoon, as a self-defense mechanism, lashes out.

I hate seeing somebody that may suffer from a medical problem get poked at.

Don't visit the NPR forum then. There are resident nutballs who get poked at daily ... and they are definitely suffering from medical problems!
 
Oh, jeez. I woke up with a threatening email from Marty. He says if we don't stop 'strifing' that he will tell the world the 'truth' about Mike and I. Damn. That's scary. He might have to tell you guys that I have been married to the same great (and very patient) gal for 45 years. He might have to tell you that AZBilliards serves the industry and handles things like the pro ranking system and the points list, all for free. He might have to tell you all that Mike and I got Pat Fleming to come stream the Turning Stone events so that you can all have a high-quality stream to watch even though it costs us over $4,000 per trip to do so. Yep, we're pretty bad guys, all right.

JB, Marty admits that he is 'propoolplayer' on all of the streams, so connecting these dots is pretty easy. He talked about this just the other day and it is a saved tape.

Look, I am fine with Marty when he keeps his mouth shut. I hope he enjoys doing his 'show' and if his 'pro pool league' succeeds, well, great. Good for the game. But he has been threatening Mike and I for years with death and it is getting old. On his show he says that Mike and I are cancers and we need to be eliminated. He even said we have to die for him to succeed and he pretty much begs his viewers to please take us out. So, JAM, I don't really care about how sick he is. Sick, misguided folks like this do a great deal of harm. However, if he will leave us alone and have no contact with us and stop all the crap that he is constantly stirring then we will never mention him again.

But if he wants to argue with folks who buy their ink by the barrel so to speak, well, that is his error. His constant lies are so absurd. He tells folks that we are paid $2,000 and expenses to go to do the live scoring at events. Marty, that is a stone cold stupid lie.
