I was going to buy some tips while helping Atlas pay for its ivory fines and noticed Kamui jacked there prices another 2.10??

It was bad enough at the original price and now this? Charging 30 bucks I really didn't make much money(I include shaft clean and condition so I spend more time, plus they have to be prepped so they don't pop off) and now what....I eat this?

There will come a point when they price themselves totally out of the market. Maybe sooner than later....

Screw Kamui. I have some of their tips but I have zero plans to buy any more..... although, I do have a hard time passing up a really good deal :)

Are they really any better than Moori? If you haven't seen it, checkout the writeup on Kamui that Joe Barringer put on his website awhile back. And $30 for a piece of chalk??? Right, if I get a customer that wants that I'll direct them to Ebay. I'm not getting involved in that silliness.

Is that with freight?

Is THAT a joke??

If it is not a joke then NO is the answer.....

Give me a call Tom, I want to order some tips. I just spent a paltry grand at Atlas, may as well spread some more money around..

Looks like the browns are cheaper than Moori's.
The both sell for the same when installed to me, $35.
And Kamui backs up the tip if it delaminates, they'd replace it .
You can get them direct from Kamui and do not have to pay Atlas's shipping.

This has nothing to do with shipping....at all.

The browns are 2.30 a piece more than Mooris for me.

The last time I had an issue with Kamui was a soft tip that would not(unlike others) stop soaking up thin cyano. After SIX applications it was apparent that it would no longer be a soft tip(what's the point IMO?), so I contacted John.

His reply...no it wasn't "let me make that right and send you out another"....it wasn't anything like that at all.

He said "Maybe it will make a nice break tip"

That was the last time i had dialogue with John Bertone...

It's nice that Kamui it supporting pool, but think about this...With the highest priced tip in the market, who is really supporting what.....and who?

I must be missing something.
Kamui brown are $2.70 cheaper than Moori.

If you are paying 15.00 for a Moori, then you are paying WAY too much. I just ordered 20 for 200.00.

$10 each is the most I've ever paid. I just picked up 10 when I ordered some other stuff and got them for $80. I didn't really need them but as I said.... I have a hard time passing up a good deal :)

tips

Being that I install tips..... I get to try them out on my cue. I have had quite a few I have tried out.

The best by far is the Kamui black medium.

I hate the price and I think it is way too much.

Is there anything that compares to it? They grab the cue ball and they don't mushroom. They have a great feel when I hit the ball.

Tiger Emerald is better that the Medium Black Kamui. I was playing with Medium Black and went to Emerald, grabs the ball better. Most of my customers are playing with the Emerald. Who wants to pay $60.00 to have the Kamui installed?

Who pays $60 for a Kamui to be installed? The tip is between $17-20 at Seyberts. $40 labor to put on a tip ? Really?

I'm in the wrong business.

This might be a reference to something John said to Blue Hog Rdr.

Had something to do with BHR not being able to get a decent price and John referring him to the distributor in Canada. I believe John told him to charge 50-60 bucks for the install.

Oh and please keep doing what you are doing. I love watching the stream and buy them when I am home...
