One of the First Ginas to Come Out of Ernie's Current Batch

As Ernie will no longer build his lower-end players cues, every cue coming out of his shop has distinctive touches. Check out the trim ring above the Hoppe ring (repeated at the joint of course). I love the Ebony/Burl combo and those wild veneers. Give Ernie choice on the wrap and he always goes with elephant.

Anyway, here's Ernie's new low-end price-point. Sorry for the poor pics, there will be better coming. And yes, you are looking at 50+ ebony forearms ready for his next batch.

Its Ernie's 71st birthday today. For those of you who figure he's retiring soon, please be advised that Ernie just had a state of the art (there's a surprise) air conditioning system installed in his shop after 25 years of swamp coolers:

First. Great cue. Never played with one but heard great things. I may get one of his next. Nice cue.

Kevin,

Thanks for posting. Ernie is my favorite CM and I love seeing his work and methods. It is nice to see he is doing very well and is continuing to build great cues.

These days at 71 you still can have a lot in the tank.

Enjoy you new beauty.

Rick

great cue

Kevin, congratulations on a great looking Gina. Please give Ernie my best,
Phil

Damn!

Are those drilled gaboons in the background?
At least we know now what epoxy Ernie uses.

Happy birthday Erni

Kevin congrats on your new life time player. In all seriousness this one really could be your life time player. Enjoy it and Erni continue the great work for another 10, heck 20 yrs...

For sure this is my new lifetime player (OBO). The only question is will I actually play with it before I sell it.

I had the cue in my hands yesterday and was raving to The Master about the balance and he was laughing at me saying I'd be loving that balance as I was placing it in a shipping tube.

I will keep something coming out of this batch, its just going to be too long (and maybe too expensive) until his next batch as he has his 50th Anniversary Edition to do. I just don't know which what I'm keeping.

Thanks

Kevin

Another beautiful cue Kevin! I wonder how many other awesome Gina pics you've got stored in that iPhone 4... haha.

Gina!

Kevin, beautiful cue by the Master! I was showing my Wife the pics, and she says are they Ebony forearms in the background? Ernie is a machine for sure.
Happy Birthday to one of the Hall Of Fame Cue Makers who revolutionized the art.

. ...what else can you say! Absolutely stunning butt sleeve. I can't wait to see better pics of the forearm.

Hey Kevin,
Beautiful cue you have there..
My two Gina's are arriving on Tuesday:)
Ernie sent me pictures from the shop, and I'm like a kid in a candy store.
Best,

Ernie is the "magician" of cuemaking. I have never had the pleasure of visiting his shop, but I have been told stories of all of his slick set-ups and custom built machinery and inventions.... :bow-down:

Damn you Ken. You got your two Before I got mine.

I am sure will it'll be worth the wait. He promised me I'd have 'em before Tunica. I am planning on playing with my new player.

Best,

You must have died when you saw those pics. Those cues ate the best I've seen of that genre.

EVER.

Ernie told me you had seen them, which I took to mean you had them in your hands, and I was wondering where your fabulous cue pics were?

I really hope you show those cues.

Kevin,
Let's just say they were everything I come to expect from Ernie.
The woods are insane and colors blew me away. The section handles top it off.
Hard to pick a favorite tho.
I think I'll take pictures and maybe let AZer's pick.
Congrats again on a beauty you have there,
Ken Kerner

Thank you Ken. I thought I dug Jessica Alba's butt until I saw the butts on those 2 cues,

Kevin
