Keith McCready coming out of retirement!

And there's a puppy.

My daughter went out and purchased this puppy, unbeknownst to me, 10 days after we lost our Sammy Boy. I love this dog now, but it was quite an adjustment getting used to a puppy after having a 13-year-old.

Here's my Sammy Boy's last days on earth with Keith. They were two peas in a pod. Sammy Boy couldn't walk very far as he had laryngeal paralysis, and so Keith used to sit with him out front for hours. Sammy Boy liked the fresh air, and he loved being with Keith. The fresh air helped him breathe better.

Everybody in the neighborhood knew Keith and Sammy Boy. They were a fixture. :D

when keith was 18 years old he was beating everybody in the country, back then they played 2 shot push out, he had a huge advantage cause he shot so freakin straight, he`d push out to shots nobody wanted & then he`d just fire em in. he was a sight to watch when he was in dead punch, oh yea, & left handed he only played a ball under his game.

Yep, that's exactly right. If we brought back the Keither from those days, he'd be shooting holes through EVERYBODY!

No wonder he won't get off the couch, snug as a bug in a rug, the lazy SOB! :p

It took me a long while to get him to take the trash out automatically (without being asked). :p

He does chores, but sometimes it takes some prodding. His California blood doesn't do well with our winters here, but he does shovel snow -- and not very well, I might add. :D

I might as well add this photo to the thread. It's one of my faves. I've posted it before, but it's a pretty cool shot.

I see you are from Sweden. You will know one of these players. ;)

Here's a great picture of Scott Frost, Tony Chohan, Keith, and Marcus "The Little Napoleon" Chamat of Sweden.

This was taken at the Derby City Classic in Louisville. Everybody was in action the entire week. Notice who has all the cheese, though. As you can see, Keith likes to surround himself where the money is.

Hi, Thx.

Yes indeed, we call him "Mackan" short for Marcus. His not from Stockholm but I do meet him at the hall sometimes, nice guy indeed.
He was supposed to play in a competition this weekend but from what I heard his brother got sick so he had to cancel in the last minute.

What ever happened to Marcus "The Little Napoleon" Chamat, don't see him around much any more?

He plays rather much these days, mostly in Europe, high ranked. I think he slowed down for a couple of years due to family, business etc. Still a very good shooter.

I agree Keith McCready can pack a crowd to the rafters like Elvis Presley. When it does happen it will be standing room only.

Whether Keith wins or not I would pay $$$ just to listen to him talking to the crowd there is one and only Keith McCready and he can give the 3 out on this to any one on this planet. If you have never seen him play in person you have truly missed something you will never witness the rest of your life.

I had a funny experience with Keith quite a few years ago. He was hanging out with Jaimie Goodwin a great local player here in Michigan. We were all in Toledo Ohio at the Glass City Open and Jaimie was trying to get a game going to Keith. I told him I would play him with the 7,8 and the break on a Valley bar table, they countered with the last three and the break. I told him I would try him some with that game if he played with a stick I had with me. Keith said "let me see this cue!". I pulled it out and put it together and he went to hit some balls. This stick has a "gaff" shaft that Andy Gilbert made me, it has a brass insert that holds the ferrule on. Because of the extra weight right at the end of the stick it deflects like CRAZY! If you try and use any english on the shot you have to adjust so much just about any shot is impossible. Jaimie who was planning on staking the game threw out the balls on the bar table and said if you run these out I will stake you at the game. Keith missed the first shot and quickly stated I got it now! He started again and made a couple of balls and then missed the next one when he was trying to spin the cue ball to get to the other end of the table. Keith said I have this cue figured out now, at this point there was six balls left and Jaimie said ok run these out and we will play. Again Keith made a couple of balls and missed, at this point with three balls on the table Jaimie said run these out and we will play (I was rooting for Keith!), he missed the first shot and gave me the cue back.

I have let quite a few players on this site hit balls with this cue, it is hilarious to see great players try and get use to the cue. If someone just plays center, top or draw with no side spin they can use this cue fine but if you use any spin you might not even hit the ball you are aiming at!

I have seen Keith play localy more times than I can count and can remember when danny green ran a 7 pack on him and the very next week he returned the favor in about 15 mins .
Nobody bar none ever hit a gear like like Keith and the only one who ever stopped Keith was Keith himself
Im greatfull to have seen him play and if he wants to play he will play if he does not he wont, he owes pool nothing infact its the other way around

It would be "AWSOME" to see TAR pick this match up.... race to 100 bar box. Keith is a big draw and I think it would great for TAR
