Rip-off Report on Glen, The Real King Cobra "UPDATE"

How about this one nit? Send the dime to charity.

When I first saw the OP I thought:

"He's only two months behind. Thats not too bad"

Glen works on cuemaker time. No excuse for lack of communication in any way and a bad way to do business but my guess is the OP gets his rails back at some point.

Unless Glenn goes all Glenn and rails on the dude for posting here, tells him he doesnt understand the art of pool tables and sends his rails and money back in a box. Basically anything is possible at this point I guess.

I'm hoping for a warm fuzzy ending for all involved.

Ken

Can we settle this for $150?

Are you high?

I will bet you $1000 you can not show me one single post in this thread that any rational human being could describe as me defending Glen in this mess.

GLEN IS NOT DIAMOND.

If you are a home builder and you contract with an electrician for certain jobs then I hire the same the guy for a completely separate and unrelated job and he screws me then by your logic I should be pissed at you. Makes total sense.

Glen screwed the OP. Period. Full stop. He should make it right with some kind of consideration for the bullsh!t he put the guy through. None if it has a damn thing to do with Diamond.

I would be more than happy to post that dime with Watchez whenever you want to.

So you think making fun of the way Glen does business is defending him?

Its called sarcasm. I see now its over your head.

Take your nit and shove it up your ass.

Since you have trouble keeping up that wasn't sarcasm.

All four rails, a corner and side pocket casting. It will be near to impossible to find parts that match, the table is semi rare, 4.5 x 9 Big G, in White, with simulated wood grain. Attached is a pic from the day I picked it up.

Tony, what exactly are you missing?

I read this and instantly thought it sounded like JBlish language.

Pretty table. Sorry about your troubles.

Decided to do a drive by and am amazed at the crazy shit that broke out...again

Ditch that table and give yourself a present. Go buy a nice Diamond table and forget it.

I have a 9-foot Brunsick Century, ball return, et cetera. FREE to a good home. Cost $2,000 with discount when brand-new (used to work for Brunswick distributor). You pick up and deliver. Not responsible for rails or who sets it up. :D

JAM, that's a very generous offer. You seem to be a very nice person.
I've refrained from commenting on this thread because I don't have much to say that's different from many comments already made. I had a lot of respect for Glen and always enjoyed seeing his pics of tables he had worked on. I'm certain that he'll continue to do well because of his craftsmanship. But I also feel that he not only lost all of my respect but the respect of many AZBilliard members. Glen, if you're reading this, please return the man's rails. If the rails are lost, then step up and buy him a new Diamond table.

Dude the guy doesn't care.. he feels he's the god of pool table mechanics (he probably is lol) and in his world something as small as this is nothing to him. He's still booked with enough work to keep on keeping on for a long time and this will have no real effect on him in the long run. Unfortunately hes probably right

If you are serious about pursuing legal action I would get some quotes from reputable billiard mechanics for a price on replacing the rails and castings, my guess it will be more than $500. Also don't forget to include attorneys fees as well. Good luck and I hope you get this resolved.

Guys,

This is an update after another 6 weeks and still Glen has not returned my property.

See the original thread with the same title for whats going on! The original thread has been closed.

Back in May Glenn did return my money I paid him to calibrate my rails. He stated he would ship them back to me untouched. Well I waiting 5 weeks before contacting him and when I did he gave me a BS story about how I should have my rails by now, and then admitted he had my pocket castings in the back of his truck. Well if my rails where shipped why wasn't my castings, because none of it has been shipped. So since Feb 2013 I have been sitting here with no table. What a bunch of BS GLENN!!!

When I contacted Glen last week I gave him the opertunity to make things right! I had filed a law suit with a lawyer against him and Diamond for the return of my property and damages. I have the lawyer on retainer and have the papers drawn up and gave Glen the chance to avoid any legal issues. I had all of Glen's BS I want and explained to him that either he give me $500.00 for the table or I was going through with the lawsuit. Glen would get the remaining parts of the table and I would get back what I have in it, which with all the BS is allot more than 5 bills. I gave Glen a week to do something and shure as s**t nothing happened. So I guess I'm down to the point of turning the lawyer loose on him and Diamond. Sorry to all you guys that think Glen is GOD but he has really screwed the S**T out of me and I'm not going to take it sitting down!

Sorry if this sounds harsh, but I want my money or some butt, plain and simple!

Thanks for allowing the rant!

Totally Pissed Off!

Tony

Good call! Cause there is no way his attorney would have thought of that. You must have stayed at a holiday inn express last night.

Most importantly, $30 a day to go to the pool hall because his table is gone.

The trouble with the "damages" claim is the OP's table was sitting (apart) in the garage before Glenn took the rails so the loss of table argument is out.

Hopefully this won't be seen as downplaying this hundreds of dollars situation and get me called an idiot or a nit.

By the time this thing would get to court (small claims - please get real) the OP will have his Gandy rails back and have his money back, so he will, in fact, be out nothing (other than some time with an already dissembled table).

Again, I hope this isn't seen as downplaying the extreme gravity of this dire situation.

And by all means OP, don't forget to remind your on retainer attorney to add attorney fees into this juicy lawsuit.

Hey, every little piece of advice helps...

I'd guess that the attorney is only handling the filing/paperwork end of this.

The OP is probably saving himself a small fortune by doing the "legwork" himself.

Kevin

Possibly.

At the same time, there's an expectation of getting the rails back by a certain time, to be able to use the table.

To the OP, it might be worth talking to a few table mechanics and finding out how long it might take to do the rail work you originally hired RKC for.

Bounce that time off of the length of time your rails have been "missing", and you may conceivably be able to add pool room time to your lawsuit.

Good luck...
