Very dissapointed in lee brett. Should be ashamed

Not quite sure why anyone would expect him to be a decent horse. I for one have never heard of him beating anyone other than The Monk.

Not Warren, the instructor guy,

He beat Souquet in the Open last year... I don't think any of you guys piling on really would want a dose..... Keep yapping from the porch if you didn't have a dog in the race......

I thought BB owned the building the studio is in. I guess not. Most evictions don't happen with 1 month or 2 rent not paid...unless it's different in Vegas.

Now I'm wondering just what BB really owns out right. It's not the tables. Maybe the cameras and other equipment are leased or so much down and catch me if you can. If players not paid for 5 weeks and rent owed on the studio, maybe nothing has been paid...period. Beginning to smell like a 1st grade IPT to me. Johnnyt

I know there are deals where you pay no rent until you do the build out. but you have to finish in a specified time which im guessing BB missed. They may have started paying Jan 1?

I'm shocked Lee hasn't posted in his defense.

C'mon Lee, tell us how we have no class but you can ask for a handout when clearly you have your own money to blow on Starbucks and PaiGow. (And maybe $550 for the 8 ball)

I don't know any player that will only get a sponsor if it's their last dollar. What was your arrangement with Lee regarding his sponsorship? If you put money up to sponsor Lee it doesn't give you license to scrutinize his every move or his bank account.

I'm sure a friend shipped Lee some cash when he posted about the $19. I have had times in my life when my bank account was under $1. I didn't sweat cause I knew I could generate more easily. It's not that easy to do for someone in the pool industry.

He does have the right to scrutinize, if he put a thread together
to help Lee and in turn feels embarrassed for himself along with others that
were willing to put there hand out to help, only to have it chopped off.

Chopped off!! LOL.

That's the risk you take when trying to help others. It doesn't give you the right to publicly bash them because it didn't go how you hoped it would, especially if you viewed it as "helping out", and it certainly doesn't give you a pass to scrutinize their finances.

Lee did actually show up to the match and lost. Mike D opened up with a six pack! Lee made an excuse of "he got drunk" when in reality Dechaine just beat him down. If you spent any time around these guys, Lee's drunk statement would not surprise you. He felt he didn't give it his best and offered the drink as a possible reason, that's it.

Lee has a lot of talent but I think his negative attitude keeps him from achieving the next level, not the drink.

If Lee is owed as much as 5 weeks pay, its pretty disheartening.
It could be the difference between hzaving a small place and eating half
Decent to living in his car and not knowing where your next meal is coming from.

If non payment from his employer is responsible for his predicament, they are the ones who
should be ashamed of themselves. Lee fked up and owned it. How many of us have messed
up at one time or another. I could write a book, that is if i could remember.

Just for the record, this is Lee's car...

so, don't feel too bad. ;)

Not Warren, the instructor guy,

Lee did beat Ralf Souquet in an event recently.

I'd pick Lee to play pool for me before I'd pick Bobby Knight to play basketball for me.

..BB ... Beginning to smell like a 1st grade IPT to me. Johnnyt

There was a post that said Lee was trying to stop BB from using his image in its footage, as there was no contract/ agreement regarding it.

I don't think he has any legal foothold re: the matter, but it certainly- like too many other revelations- reeks of an amatureish venture to me.

How can each performer's involvement not be spelled out in a signed agreement?

Accepting payment is kind of giving their agreement or authorization.

Hoping there are not issues is hardly setting up a system to succeed.

Not really that tuff...the goal is to stay out of court:
Employee shall not disseminate by any method ,media or communication relating directly or indirectly to his employ, unless first approved by Employer in writing.

Employee agrees to appear and perform in any media production now known or created in the future produced or authorized by the Employer. Employee acknowledges he has no rights in or to the Works. Employer shall have the irrevocable right to use all media in any format or medium now known or created in the future, at any point now or in the future. This paragraph shall survive the term of this Contract.

According to some of the players, they still haven't been paid. If they cannot afford to pay their staff not being able to make rent doesn't seem like much of a stretch. *But*, I would imagine you would have miss a few months, probably 3, before you were served notice.

In any event, if funding is established, I cannot see Lee, or anyone who has made public mention of funding difficulties being a continued employee. Reporting your legal actions against your employer is a sure fire way to get a poor severance package and free help packing your office.

When Barry went off the rails he may have well have been right, but he didn't do himself any favors either (other than cashing out his shares at the right time). Between hotel key-cards, ABP hit-n-runs, boycotts, payment failures, the public relations nightmares of BB, these "pros" look pretty amateurish.

My big question is how much worse can you make yourselves look? In 365 days I'm sure there will be an answer. Get a business manager fellas. Not just for Bonus Ball, for all of the players, and all of the events. And for the love of (Diety of Choice) do not post press or personal releases when you are angry.

I showed Barry this post and he shrugged. He said he never went off the rails....he Wanted to warn the players so he could look them in the eye when he sees them at events. He told the truth, so it seems, but it was so unbelievable that no one believed him. Still some people think that some magical investor can save something that has been one bad decision after another? You can continue to throw good money after bad but who would do that? I was told that Mark of their NHL hockey franchise will save this mess. I really doubt that will happen unless he feels he needs to do a favour for his fellow investors. It will have to be a charity investment. It does happen time to time.
