Just given the 13 ball ghost a shot after reading through this. If you did infact beat it I'm impressed/ jealous!
First effort and only effort was 9-7 to the ghost and I played well. Can't see what I could have done to improve it really. If you beat it occasionally you're a couple of speeds above me, easily. You should also be only looking to play tournaments such as the US Open. Anything with lesser players and you should be arrested for robbery.
Hi guys, new to the forum
was looking for a better understanding on where my game is at as I have not been playing in tournaments for a while.
I currently play the 13 ball ghost regularly, i win some lose some but most recently won 9-6.
You are shooting these 13 balls out in order right?
I really do hope you are being honest. Would love to see the video.
Call me skeptical. You just joined, and one of your first posts is "pat me on the back, pool community. I want others to comment on my great playing, and I'm going to set up a fact pattern that no one could believe and assert it's true. Oh, there is no video and no one saw it. But it's really really really really true. "
There are a good number of A, A+ and open players here. There are a handful of pros. These folks really do know how hard it is to beat the 10-ball ghost. Must less the 13-ball ghost. They understand the commitment and hard work it takes to get there.
There are also a LOT of betters, sweaters, rail birds and serious gamblers. They've seen the impossible happen and lost their shirts on good bets gone bad. These guys can spot a poser when the walk in the pool hall and know when barking gives away a pigeon/fish/ATM. They can small BS pretty far away.
I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but having been around here for a [long] while - I've seen a crapton of posts with people wanting the interwebs to make them a superhero. Anyone can beat the 13-ball ghost on this forum. And throw a 100 MPH fast ball on the baseball forum. And golf at 5 under par. And run a 3 minute mile. And date a supermodel. And drive 12 Ferraris. And climb Mt. Everest in 2 hours. And fly the space shuttle. And talk to unicorns.
Personally, I beat the 19-ball ghost race to 100 everyday. I play on 2-tables at the same time and have to jump the cueball from one to the other. It's a hard game. Oh, I have no video, but it's true. See, when the fact pattern gets so wacky, it's kinda hard to believe.
And, you may be the one poster (in the history of the internet) that just started their forum account and reported a most incredible story with no support or evidence and there was no creative liberty taken in the recounting. You may also be the newest (and one of the few) players in the world that can beat the 13-ball ghost. That's a few "mays." But, as the saying goes, if a story appears too good to be true...
-td [just sayin' what everyone is thinking]
No, I'm not pro standard and I have very little idea what standard I am. I just have Dr Daves 10 ball ghost to go off. Here its either this guys good, ill need a 3 game advantage or this guys crap I'm gunna push for even, but I don't mind giving up a few games.I think its a great way to practice on your own, involves so much more concentration and cue ball control than 9 ball. much more need to be right side all the time.
How was your break? I find if I win, yes i am playing well but also i am often getting 3/4 sometimes 5 off the break.
Thanks for the post though as I take it you are not pro standard? If not and your very first attempt was just a 9-7 loss then i think some of the people who have posted in this thread should rethink their opinions.
A lot suggested top pro's only would only beat the ghost occassionly!
If beating the 13-ball ghost is not your normal level, and you mostly lose to the 13b ghost...
what ghost can you beat regularly? Do you know?
If you can beat the 9b ghost regularly (more than 50% in a race to, say, 9) then you'd be labelled
at least an A player.
If you can beat the 10b ghost that way, you'd be close to pro level.

The break was hit and miss. Mostly miss. Most balls I made was 3 or 4 but average was 2 I'd say and I even broke dry a few times. 15 ball ghost or 14.1 is my prefered practice. Never win a set against the 15 ball ghost but it put me in good stead for the 13 ball ghost. And yet I had no chance of beating it. Since tried it 2 more times and can't beat it. Most games out of the 2 sets I got was 5. Race to 9 is too much for me.
People on here are quite dubious of new comers who state good play. Without no way of knowing I have to take you on your word.
You might have stated it already but where are you from?
When i play the 13b ghost is when (sometimes) i play my best as there is so many shots you get into dead stroke and still mostly lose.
If you ever want a match for a bob or two give me a shout.Im from the u.k
I have not tried 14b and 15b but imagine must be crazy! especially 15b.
with 13b i find the key is the very first shot, if that goes ok and break wasnt too ugly you have a chance. also if you get a decent chance you need to take it as there will be some racks you just cant win.
didn't Scott Frost win some $$$$$ playing the 10ball ghost WITHOUT ball in hand after the break? He's no where near Dennis' speed playing 10 ball. I should qualify that; I doubt he'd like to put up very much of his own money playing Dennis EVEN 10 ball.
As soon as I figure a way to beat the 2 ball ghost with ball in hand after the break, my video is certainly going up on AZ. Till then though, no video's of the 1 ball ghost MASTER!!
Given enough time it has indeed become clear.
Coco 9 is yet another BS incarnation of your trolling imagination.
Of course he's British. All your identities are!

At the risk of being accused of more lies I only play for 3 or 4 hours a week.
Unfortunealtey a full time job, a house and a fiance take up most of my time!
true what you say tho and i will post up any vid which should give an indication
First: Jack Daniels. Second: haterade.Tom, don't be such a hater. Why you be hatin'. You must be drinking the haterade...
Is that 100 in $, £ or €. Oh, one week ends November 11, 2013....I will wager $100 payable immediately that you cannot produce a video of yourself beating the 13 ball ghost in a race to 9 in one weeks time.
