For fvck sakes, either tells us this big secret or don't, but these vague threads and posts are becoming very fatboy-ish.
if you'd been here, then everyone would know.

What, you guys spent 4 K and I didn't even get a Cheesy Vegas key ring.
Well, I'm going to Cuba soon and just for that, I'm keeping all the Cohibas and Communists to myself.
....why would they hide it? It's nothing Matchroom should be ashamed of.
It shows they care and are committed to keeping the event classy and high quality.
And part of the reason for the fine is to discourage future infractions.
By fining one guy in secret you maybe stop one guy from misbehaving.
By mounting his head on a pike for the whole world to see, you keep everyone in line.
I heard a week ago what was going on, and like Doug says, it is no ones business until matchroom decide or not decide to disclose any information.
And no i won't reveal what is going on, it's not mine nor your business to reveal what is going on. Have respect for Barry and Luke and what they decide to do with there in house business is entirely up to them.
Did not all ten players get 10K to perform in this show?
Oh, I mean play in this event.
The winners got 20K and the losers got 10K.
It's a game, not a sport.
And pool in America is fine, it's the same as it's been for 20 years, and will be the same the next 20 years. If you like the game enjoy it, but YOU are not going to change it.
And what makes you think pool is any better in Europe? Or the Philippines? It's not, if it was they would not be here half the year. Or in some cases here permanently.

Please. Please. Please.
If people want to play for a living they are going to have to take risks, gamble, get in the grease or get a job. Pro players or whatever they call themselves are owed nothing, but they feel they are. It's always been that way. No tour is going to change that.
Pool is as big as ever in America. It's a game, period, not a sport. It is played by MANY amateurs every night of the week, leagues thrive. These people are what makes pool businesses like OB, TIGER, PREDATOR, MEUCCI, MCDERMOTT, OZONE, POOLDAWG, MUELLERS, MEZZ, CUETEC, APA,BCA,VALLEY,TAP, ETC. Survive.
The PROS do NOTHING to keep pool or these companies alive. They do not buy products from these companies. So why should anyone really care if they have events. Are they trying to round up events on their own?
Are they out promoting their own selves to make money?
Plain and simple, they want handouts. I think that's over and now they are lost.
There's a few pros that have put their cash to good use, good for them, they deserve what they work for.
....Pool in America isn't like it used to be and it's not even like it was a year ago. The pro scene is crumbling and poolrooms are closing right and left.
