Funny pic/gif thread...

Could be Toe jam Foot Ball. What ever that is. John Lennon made it up but it doesn't sound good. Like I don't want it in my back yard or in my garden. I would prefer not to have Toe Jam Tomatoes.

What kind of football?

Still not funny using satanic symbols for a Christmas joke. Maybe some day you will understand. As far as your "jokes" in this thread, if anyone else posted half the stuff you have on here, they would have been banned for violating the rules.

hahaha, that's a hand sign for "i love you". The pinky finger is the "I", thumb and forefinger is the "L" and pinky and forefinger is the "U" or You. Too funny, maybe someday you will understand.

And this is not the hand sign for I Love You (note the position of the thumb)

Glad I could help.... Gene Simmons and Jesus loves you.

There are fanaticalites that think that KISS stands for Knights In Satans Service...

Rock and roll bands still have that stigma like they are going around cutting the heads off chickens, and goats, raping women and debauchery of all kinds.

Those guys are in their 60's... Paul Stanley has had both hips replaced, Gene Simmons is now married and has had multiple surgeries.. those guys couldn't cut the head off a chocolate Easter bunny.

JV

Are you F****** kidding me?!?!

a) it's a joke.
b) it's KISS and I know you're old enough to know that KISS is little more than a cliche band, riding out a brief stint of world-shock that happend almost 40 years ago.

Satanic salute? Based on what? Your knowledge of history is quite lacking. You must not be christian because they are taught not to be judgmental. I think it was Gandhi who said it best I like your Christ, I don't like your christians, they are so unlike your Christ.

I imagine him frantically searching for his satanic symbols handbook for reference sake. :rolleyes:

I grew up with zealots in my family...hard core First Southern Baptists...and I've been duly informed that I'm going straight to hell for many, many reasons.

Maybe we can all get together and play Ozzy and Led Zep records backwards searching for hidden subliminal messages for old times sake.:cool:

Good to know that we still have our own Taliban on duty!

That is a good one Mark. Glad you made it work.

Dave, I've been practicing playing country albums backwards.

You get your truck back, you get your dog back, you get yer girl back and life is good.

Guess I'm not up on the Satanic Rituals. The hand signals that Bush and other notables, as far as I know, may be the devil's horns but they worship and burn an Owl in the Bohemian Grove. According to Alex Jones it might also be a sign of a Horned Owl.

I mean, as far as one can believe Alex and company. Some of his stuff is definitely interesting or thought provoking. If a person comes up with at least one Conspiracy Theory per week, the Law of Averages might kick in and you would get one right sooner or later.

Con Theories pay his wages so its good to be able to come up with new ones on a regular basis.

It does represent Lucifer's horns.

Anyone who tries to mask that it means lucifer's horns and stems from the age where rock bands got more attention by having supposedly sold their soul to Satan for fame is kidding themselves; HOWEVER, it also can be used to represent Texas Longhorns (as in the Bush's and many other cases) and as has been pointed out in some configurations, I love you in sign language.

Being a musician and a spiritual person it has irked me when musician's use it just because it has been associated with hard rock without even knowing what it represents.

I used to let one of my band mates get away with it because he was from Texas, but I would point out the potential reference every time he did it... :grin:

Popped up on my news feed......apropo

So who said I don't love you? That doesn't mean I have to love wrongful actions. Since you come from a Christian family, seems like you should know that. All you are doing now is trying to bait me so you can ban me by calling me names and continuing to post things to mock the Christian religion. And yet, you call me the intolerant one. Guess it's ok for you to be offended, but not me. I get it.

To those that think it's just a "I love you" hand signal, (which it also is); or just a "texas longhorn" sign, (which it also can be); it's much more than that. It is thousands of years old, and when used by a known satantist, such as KISS, it is an occult symbol with several meanings. One being as a salute to recognize other satanists, and the more common use today is to mock the Lamb of God. Rather obvious which one KISS uses it for being a satanists.

So, you want to mock me for knowing something you didn't, or for my religion, that is your right. Just as it's my right to say I am offended by it.

Thanks for the explanation Dela. I watched a short Doc one day on Musicians that make the sign of Satan while performing. Supposed to be tied in with the music industry.

I looked up the Dutch Amish hex signs. Quite interesting.

It kind of evolved into a art form for tourists as well.

According to Wikipedia, it is common in Italy and the Mediteranian

Wiki said:
In Italy and some Mediterranean cultures, when confronted with unfortunate events, or simply when these events are mentioned, the sign of the horns may be given to ward off bad luck. It is also used traditionally to counter or ward off the "evil eye" (malocchio). With fingers down, it is a common apotropaic gesture, by which superstitious people seek protection in unlucky situations (It is a more Mediterranean equivalent of knocking on wood). Thus for example the President of the Italian Republic Giovanni Leone shocked the country when, while in Naples during an outbreak of cholera, he shook the hands of patients with one hand while with the other behind his back he made the corna. This act was well documented by the journalists and photographers who were right behind him, a fact that had escaped President Leone's mind in that moment. In Italy, one can also "touch iron" (tocca ferro) or touch one's nose. Males in Italy and some other countries may grab their testicles when confronted by bad luck; however, this is considered more vulgar.

In Peru one says contra (against). In the Dominican Republic the expression is zafa, said against curses known as fukú. All of these gestures are meant to conjure supernatural protection
.

I searched hand gestures and found this under horned hand. It goes on to describe it's introduction to rock and roll from the Satanic band Coven in 69, and John Lennon apparently displays it on the cover of Sgt Pepper though I haven't verified this. There was a whole section about heavy metal and it's usage, as well as it's meaning and use in sports culture.

I didn't read into it further because I use it in it's traditional form and meaning though I am not one for making dramatic gestures. If I have something to say, I articulate it. Showing someone a finger can get you into a fight just as easily as speech. I find speech to be a more gratifying and discriptive way to get your point accross...

Picture = Funny pic/gif thread

Neil = Religious zealotry

Dave = Unimpressed

As I stated, I'm very familiar with the Taliban like religious mentality and have no patience with anyone who wants to force their values down anyone else's throat.

There are many places you can go that this behavior will fit right in...but it isn't here.

End of story.
