Rodney shows up in Reno

If he showed up on the 24th...

He may have been escorted out of the tournament area but he wasn't thrown off the premises. I saw him getting in the elevators at 1:40 this morning and was confused as to why he came...

I even commented on it to anther player. I was like"I just saw Rodney, why the hell would he come knowing that he couldn't play???".

Reminds me of the guy who said:

"No, I didn't lose my job, it's just that every time I show up there, someone else is doing it."

I don't know...

But when the players are complaining because there's not enough money in events or late fees are exhorbitant (BTW, I had to pay a late fee this event and had no problem with it) Why go to the expense to come anyways when you KNOW you can't play???

I think he is trying to stir the pot. That is exactly what he did and things will just get worse for him. It's about time someone sent a message to these players that no one person is bigger then the game. The game will continue without you.

That's what I think he was doing too. Bad move on his part.

Yes, messages need to be sent, the events will go on without you. I hope others follow marks lead. Anyone with any involvement with CSI, should be standing up for Mark. If CSI sponsors you in anyway, you owe it to them.

I for one made it clear anyone on the CSI banned list don't try and enter our events next month, you will be rejected. So far so good, none have been whining. A couple other top players did get a good laugh out of it though.

Joe, I understand your position on this and the statement you are making but do you know who is on the CSI Banned list? I can only make an educated guess. If you know who they are can you tell us please ?

Why does Rodney care about any CSI events anyways. He's getting rich off that steady job at Bonus Ball, right??:)

No I can not relay that info. It's not for public knowledge for good reason.
Those other guys on the list are keeping their cool about things and trying to fix their own problems, they all know who they are. This way they can attend future events hopefully.

All he'll would just break loose on here if their names were out just like this Rodney stuff. But Rodney seems to stir the pot a lot and does not care about his future tournaments, as where others are keeping a level head, accepting they did wrong, and trying to make it right now.

Everyone must respect that for the others, because that's what it's going to take from them to clear themselves.

The more people and tours they see standing up to them, the quicker they will straighten up. As you know the less places you get to play, the less $ you can make.

Update:
My forensic experts have reported back but so far they don't have any new information about what really happened. I can tell you that no semen was found at the scene and 4 person's of interest are being detained in the craps pit.

I'm not so sure there are other players that are "banned" from CSI's open events. In fact I'm pretty sure there aren't.

The invitational events are a different story. Just because some players won't be getting invitations doesn't mean they can't compete in CSI's open events, if they'd like to. I suspect there will be some who won't be getting invites who will take it personal and won't play in the opens. When there's only 16 spots, many deserving players won't even be participating.

I support the idea of having invitational only events. The promoter can choose the players that act appropriately and professionally. It's an easier sell to sponsors. We all know there's little chance of outside sponsorship, but with unkempt, sloppily dressed players with poor hygiene and foul mouths, there's no chance.

Replace McDonalds with Harley's Cafe.
Guy goes on the internet and says the food at Harley's is garbage,
Harley charges too much and the portions are too small.

Harley doesn't have the same profit margin as McDonalds.
I have a feeling Harley would ban the guy.

Pool tournaments don't have much of a profit margin.
Players would be well advised to keep that in mind when discussing the tournament
and the director in public.

But is Harley's choice a business decision, or did the guy just piss him off?

CSI apparently has no profit margin at all, so this isn't a business decision.
It's just one guy blackballing someone from half the decent tournaments in the USA,
because his sense of pride is wounded.

That doesn't strike me as fair and professional.
Yes, he has the power to do it,
Yes, Rodney shoulda seen it coming.
But that doesn't mean it's right.

Over 50% of Rodney's earnings last year were from CSI events.
What if Harley could cut your paycheck in half over a single Facebook post?

It wasn't just a single Facebook post. Rodney engaged in a scorched earth campaign to anyone who would listen over a VERY LONG PERIOD OF TIME. His unrelenting lack of respect is why he is where he is today.

If there's one thing I've learned from the various crime stopping shows...

THERE IS ALWAYS SEIMEN.

check again.

Because a business has no profit margin means they can't make decisions about what is good or bad for the business? How about the image and reputation?

He probably should have thought about that before being an Facebook badass...

And Harley can fire your ass, for stupid shit on FB. Taking 100% of your paycheck away.

They would probably consider the situation and realize that Rodney is simply and clearly in the wrong. He badmouthed a man who just paid him $15,000.

Mark could shut those guys down permanently by just threatening to 1099 them.

CSI does 1099 payees....
