I actually have no reason to believe that ONB is SJD, other than his own claims.
Dick is working real hard on a full time vacation. Whether he is SJD or not, ONB just got one.

Except Freddy was asking everyone to vote for SJD. I got a phone call asking me too vote. I don't go to 1P very often, but he told me to vote for Dick for the HOF. I'm sure I was not the only person he contacted about it.
Could be he didn't mind if SJD got recognized, cause there were no hard fellings or he really disliked someone more that was in the running

The fact that you even KNOW that you would have to hide your ip goes to show that you probably have multiple personas, even if you AREN'T SJD.

What is becoming obvious, is that I must defend myself against the multi-page onslaught, of Punter, and his hero CJ, who seem to enjoy lobbing insults back and forth at me !...Punter apparently has an obsession with tearing me down (why, I don't know..I don't know him any better than I do ONB :embarrassed2
I have answered CJ's post(s) (re; Fred and I) probably 4-5 times ! He either ignores them, or he doesnt bother to look for them !..And as I have stated several times, I have no clue who 'old nine ball' ?..We have never even so much made PM contact !...I will say this, his 'record keeping' is certainly much better than mine, and LIGHT YEARS ahead of Punter and CJ's !
Mr. Punter, you seem dead set on making me look like a terrible human being...Instead of your full page tirades, why don't you just pull up all my posts, here, and on 1P.org..and cite a few examples ! You will find I thanked Freddy profusely, for his work in getting me inducted (HOF) and also, (as ONB pointed out)..I abstained for several years, because I felt there were many more deserving.
Punter...I am no angel, and like everyone else on here (and 1P.org) I have said many things I wish I hadn't !..But your vendetta, is becoming very annoying,...So unless you can quote something more 'damning', than me calling Freddy or CJ, "attention seeking braggarts"...Why don't you give it a rest ?...You are beginning to sound like Mr. 3cushion...Puleeeeeeze pull up some of his inane attacks on me !...He's a very popular guy on these pool forums, do you really want HIM for a role model ?

I realize this has gotten out of hand Mike...I don't even know why I care so much, but would it help to 'swear on my recently deceased wife' that I do not even KNOW who Old Nine Ball is ?

Good job, Mr. Mod. I had already told you all that old nine ball is Cowboy Dennis from one pocket. org. And you are wrong, Lenny. Bentivegna as well as Mr. Incardona advised some of us verified members to cast Hall Of Fame votes for SJD. I did so only because of their re for him, and I'm still ok with that, and I got another guy to do it too. It only took a few votes to get in. I always thought that if SJD had not been an interesting, everyday poster there, he would not have been nominated.
Steve Booth, over at one pocket, is about the most laid back, easy goingest fellow you ever saw. He allows a lot. After so much, however, he restricted SJD to a members only section that is read by only about 30 or 40 people, I think. After a while he would give him full access to see If Dick would change. Didn't happen. Many of the regulars practically begged Mc Morran to let up with the flames. Didn;t happen. He is no longer interested in pool. His hobby is now needling and goading certain respondents who take the bait. Steve finally gave him the boots from the entire site, permanently I think. People should read more, post less. Quit arguing and learn. Be a sponge..

ONB says he is SJD. Why, after standing up for SJD, would he say he is SJD, and put Dick in trouble? Similarly why would Dennis?

I agree with your second paragraph completely. Dick may be a great guy, but there is little doubt about his two+ year feud with Freddy B. where he said some pretty hateful things. Now he complains about me making three or four posts where I say some negative things about him. Got thin skin much, Dick?

You are right RJ...Freddy and the Ghost, and Billy I., were VERY instrumental in getting me in..And I thanked them all profusely at my induction, through John H, as I was in no shape to attend !
Fred and I were not on very good terms, when he started rooting for me, so I will admit, I was a little shocked !...Your emboldened sentence, was something I definately suspected might be the case, but I never found a reason to substantiate it.

Fred loved pool, it was his raison d'etre. And he loved the OP/BANKS HOF. I believe he really thought you deserved to be in it.
Freddy was a lovable guy, he really had a way with words. Some compare him to Fatty. While there was and always will be, only one Minnesota Fats, Freddy did share a lot of Fats charisma. And, like Fats, he may have embellished a story now and then. But your treatment of him, SJD, with complete disdain, was both puzzling and uncalled for.
Punter, It may be puzzling to you, because you did not know the whole inside story...Yes, I should have bitten my tongue more often, but there were a few REAL instigators, intent on perpetuating our feud, some with VERY ulterior motives. I have proven this, to myself and many others !
Nothing wrong with you defending Fred, and yes, he could be very personable ! But comparing him to Fats, is a bit of a stretch !...Fats was an entertainer, and he KNEW he was BSing (and so did everyone else)..Freddy actually believed everything he said was "Gospool" !..When someone tripped him up..(which was often me) he would go berserk !
Having spent most of my life in a pool room, I have met hundreds of "Freddy's", some even worse at bragging, and self-promotion.. I just did not have time to develop my skills at tolerating them on the internet...Too old and cranky I guess ! (My fault...Sorry Fred !)
