Draw an imaginary line from the middle of the pocket, through the OB. Where that line comes out on the OB is your aim point. Hit that aim point with some feel on the longer shots for spin and or throw and that's all you need to know to pocket balls very well. No Charge...your very welcome.

PS: Whatever way you choose to aim, you need to be able to hit the aim point to make the ball. You need a straight stroke. Johnnyt

Commonly called "contact point" aiming. The most direct and uncomplicated way to go, if you can visualize the contact point.

I understand this is tongueincheek

While I understand this is tongue in cheek, if you aim at the contact point, you'll miss almost anything but a straight in shot, every time...

You can focus on the contact point, but you can't aim center cue ball at the contact point...

The balls are round...I get it. ;) Johnnyt

"Aim at" doesn't exclusively mean "aim to hit it with the center of the CB".

He said "Hit that aim point", not "aim at the contact point"!
Just the facts, nothing but the facts!

Excellent post! Now how do I do that? Oh that's right, hit a million balls.....

What if I don't have time to hit a million balls?

Is it all right to use some other system that helps me get to that point?

As Joe Tucker says, "What are you going to hit that aim point WITH?"

Contact point to contact point.

You can't sell geometrically correct aiming "system" like equal parts and opposite contact points.

Or stroking line.
Not worth one dvd.

So that's what I've been doing wrong. Thanks Jaden and I hope you had a good on your birthday.
