Pagulayan 9 ball miss dafabet World Pool Masters

You attack then become the victim, same old, same old. A blind person coulda seen this coming. A few of us call you on your bs and you can't stand it.
There are plenty of times I have agreed with you too, I respond to the post not to past dealing with somebody. You on the other hand post according to the past.

Uh, you were the first one to mention my name.

Maybe put me on your Ignore List, and we can both enjoy the forum much better.

Lol. Just felt like you read his post wrong. Thanks for all your good posts(I do like most of them).
Have a great day

To me, it looks like he tried to "shovel" or "push" the cue ball instead of stroking it. If you look at his wrist when he releases his stroke, he twists it a bit and it looks like he is trying to push the ball with inside English. Maybe he "pushed" the tip off the cue ball a bit instead of going "through it", which pushed it offline.

Watch the video at about the 45 second mark. You will see his shoulder move and he twists the shot with his wrist. Sort of like he is putting some BHE on the ball and he doesn't follow through.

Does anybody know what the odds were on Alcaide vs Shaw? Perhaps his had something to do with Alex miss?

He got that tight feeling and went ahead and shot anyway, assuming he couldn't miss that easy shot. If he had gotten up, taken a drink and composed himself he would have been all right. I've seen many great players take a little extra time on the match winning shot for just these same reasons. They want to calm down a little before shooting.

On a shot clock....?

Happen's more than you think Shane dogged a ball against Appleton to let him win in the TOC. And both Shane and Albin dogged a couple shots the next yr where Shane won

What was it that singed his cue?

Guessing it was those blue laser lights. Or perhaps pool cues, like drummers in Spinal Tap, can spontaneously combust.

Alex has now changed his brand of break cue....

I only read bits and pieces of the thread, but everyone seems to be saying the shot was a hanger. That type of shot is NOT easy. I know a pro should make it, but its definitly not a 99% shot for any pro like some of you are saying. IMO, I think a pro like Alex might make that shot 93/100, and an A player might make it 85/100. I'd probalby make it 50/100. ha ha.

Hmmm...I think I would have to disagree with the idea that a player of Alex's caliber is only 93% to make that shot. The cueball is not on the cushion, he has plenty of room to bridge comfortably, there is a little bit of angle on the shot, but not much. I know these are just estimates, but I'd have to say that on average Alex won't miss that particular shot more than three times out of a hundred.

What is it about the shot that you think means a world champion like Alex will miss it on average seven times out of a hundred?

I think it's the shot clock got him....some shots Alex likes to reset.

Now that combined with the pressure of the moment could definitely affect his make percentage. You could tell by his hesitation on the 8 ball, and getting back up and down to shoot it, that he clearly wasn't comfortable at the table.
