I never use the diamonds. How many of you do?

I use the Diamonds as references for Kicking. Adjustments are made from table to table.
If you use them for kicking why not for position play ? I know you do as you have too much knowledge not to😉
Merry Christmas to you and the family from crazy jack.

I use one diamond for reference when shooting the 4 railer to get out of a 1P break.

And I know that Corner 5 system so sometimes I check a table out like that.

I feel like the diamonds must be useful but I’ve always neglected to really learn how to use them.

I use it as needed, usually for kicks. That being said, I am more of an instinctive player and don't think too much of the specifics of physics.

I think the x2 system, which you might not call a diamond system, is used by a lot of people.

The plus-2 and the corner-5 can be very useful to players who haven't developed a good feel for those paths to kick to hit a ball.

As a good example of a "no system needed" player, Raymond Ceulemans has said that his first few 3-cushion world championships were won before he learned any systems.

Actually I do use the diamonds for finding parallel lines , not as aiming tools.

I started out fiddling with diamonds but found my natural instincts were just as good especially after a couple years of
one pocket.

Times two. Twice as far. Mirror system by counting the diamonds. Pretty much the simplest diamond system there is. I believe everyone here already knows the basics but there are various ways to get the numbers right. Shoot from the side pocket (4) to diamond 2 across the table to go to the corner pocket. Two-to-one ratio.

I'd guess I use the diamond system on about 10-15% of my kicks, and occasionally to judge multi-rail shape or multi-rail safety play.

I rarely use the diamonds, not that I shouldn't! When I use the diamonds I make shots I probably wouldn't have just by feel. Even shooting by "Feel" I often use the diamonds as additional reference points along with the pockets. Shooting cross side banks I almost always use the diamonds for reference if there is a pretty big gap between the two legs of a bank.

Some of the best banking I have ever done was on a snooker table long ago, no diamonds! In play I have banked six balls in a row a handful of times. Of course that was when I lived with a cue stick in my hand.

Almost any system is better than no system and the diamonds are usually involved in a system.

I use the diamonds (but not any particular diamond system*) on kicks, and banks, 3-rail, and 5-rainl.

(*) I developed a system quite unlike any that has been written about.
