They weren’t designed for shit. Somehow, in 1990, they ended up all wrong, unintentionally, and they didn’t know how to fix. And it stuck. There wasn’t a player alive in 1990 who “wanted” them like that and did it on purpose.Just aim straight angle in angle out through center ball, that's what they were designed for. I actually guessed what this was about, I assumed you were referring to red label diamonds.
Try using straight angle in angle out through center ball for most banks on a red label diamond and get back to me.They weren’t designed for shit. Well there are feel players and deliberate players. I CAN play fine on a red label, but I still hate playing on them. There's a reason they don't make them any more.I went to DCC in '07, played on red labels, and heard ZERO complaints from any players. I watched the filipinos play basically perfect pool in all games. No whining. But you come on a internet forum and the lurkers whine and bitch like they know something. Hey, folks ever thought that maybe you suck??
Yep.... sorry I used the Wrong termonolgy.WTH. Just how old are you???They might use humidifiers if the air gets too dry. With all the people inside that's probably not an issue. The problem is desert winters, they are bone dry.
If an unseeded player wins his first match.... are they in the money?I like the format! Single elimination, 4 days, 64 seeded pros, 64 other. In and out and done fast!
IMO, 256 is too many, can’t fill the field. 128 makes it more special if you get in.
Single elimination means amateurs have a chance to cash if the pros have a bad set, or if they get a favorable draw. More luck involved this way.
No. All players, seeded and unseeded, start in the same first round of a 128 man bracket. No bracket gimmicks. No stage 1 stage 2, etc. No "qualifying" bracket for the unseeded players to get into the "main event", like some WPA events do. Just a simple 128 man, single elimination bracket, played through to a winner. If an unseeded player wins his first match.... are they in the money?
Sounds like tennis and they seem to be doing fine.so to win you have to win like 7 matches in a row.?
who but the heavy favorites have a chance.
so if you are even money to win each match and only a few will get that most of the way, then still 127 to one against winning.
and very much higher really as the dominant players will be very heavy favorites to win each match.

If the structure is the same as the Philippines Open, if you win your first match, you get $500, at least. That was the entry in the Philippines Open. Some players there got a bye in the first round and lost the second, so they broke even.If an unseeded player wins his first match.... are they in the money?
I agree, and though it is still expensive to live out of a suitcase, even in USA soil, going to various events, it's still much cheaper than traveling abroad and having to stay two and three weeks in a row to compete in consecutive events. If the structure is the same as the Philippines Open, if you win your first match, you get $500, at least. Roughly half the prize fund is added money. That's far, far better than the traditional US pro tournament that was mostly fodder-financed.
