It is from 1987 Billiard news , Calvin comes in second to Reed Pierce nice picture of Calvin at the tableIf you give me a mailing address I will send a copy or if I can't get one good enough I will send the original. Hey David - It was great to see you and your brother in Alvin. Hope to see you next year, if not sooner. The CCC was a very enjoyable tourney for me and my wife, Paula.

Those photos you took of the CCClassic were some of the best photos I've seen of a pool tournament in a long time. They really captured the atmosphere. I love seeing what's happening behind the scenes and who's who. You did a wonderful job. Thanks for sharing them!

I went over to the Cellar Club in Camden,ARkansas last night and played the 8-Ball tourney, after playing 2 large tournament's in Texas the last few weeks, I was Smokin Hot for the boys last night, saw an old friend I hadn't seen in years, had a great time!
12 tourn. wins in a row at that place!

Had a great time at Bogies in Houston,TX. during the Ironman Tournament this past weekend, got into a small money game and played good to lose, but did miss enough key balls to come out down, felt good to get some much needed after hours practice.

The Country Calvin Classic 9-Ball Tournament to be held in Alvin.TX. the 24th -26th has already brought me back together with old friends that I thought I would never talk to again, now I'm on the phone with them, and soon will be talking in person , and am looking forward to meeting alot of AZB'ers and making new friends during this tournament that last a life time!

Playing pool is much more than just the game, it is away of life that extends beyond the pocketing and racking of pool balls!

Went over to the Cellar Club in Camden,AR. tonight, played the 8-ball tournament

I won two matches then got put in the losers bracket by this young kid that played pretty good, I weeded back thru the field, barely got by this black guy named Ernest, then it was me and the young kid for all the marbles, I had to make a full lenght cue jump , five inches from the jump ball and six inches from there to the object ball, I jacked up and made the ball and drawed back about six inches for shape on the eight!.......an awesome shot I thought for me...It was getting real late and that made me & the kid tied up, he asked to split the pot and I agreed.
