There is no money added to this? The players just put up their own money and play for it?

Congrats on an awesome take no prisioners format. Pure excitement.

What is a flush face Valley pocket??

I like Sky Woodward. Expect him to cash in top 3 anyway.

I may try to get some guys to play this type of deal, with a long race,200 entry! Maybe winner take all.

Barbox is the future of pool. I make more money on a barbox lately, exciting game and your cueball has to be perfect with tiny position zones. As a stronger player I can give bigger spots and still win. Just runout like water the last 5 balls. I gotta travel to the next big open event, just too far most of the time.

Anyone can win this thing! Great competition!

I am thinking rack your own favors Mr. Deuel but I will pulling for the gentleman Joey Gray!

Thanks for getting this together! While the sponsorship money isn't there the excitement and great play will be! I am of the opinion that this is as good as it gets in the U.S. for pool!

Looks like 10k added to me. I saw a flyer for the event in another thread and the total purse was 42k.

Edit, brain fart, I added wrong, it was 32k purse...

Not according to the OP.

Obviously, it is likely none of the players are really putting up their own money meaning they would just end up with a percentage if they cash. But with the players auction and other money that may be involved, it is hard to not see the players as just stooges who at best end up with a small amount of money. If this became the norm the players are turned into prostitutes while other actually make the money or get cheap entertainment.

My mistake, I could have sworn that flyer added up to a 42k purse... Back to kindergarden math for me:)

Interesting event.

I would actually not be surprised to see more of this type of event in the future. The 'added money' is just not available - - - - -I

Be interested to know why some of the 'Big Guns' did not enter. Dates or format/game??

I bet the "big guns" keep an eye out for the next one!

But I am not so sure that those listed should not be included in the list of big guns. On the 30th when Chip Compton plays Darren Appleton we will get to see just how they stack up against each other.

Um wow!

I like Rodney in this one but it's a field of solid killas. Can't be no short race rolls coin flip arguments here. The winner here is THE WINNER.

Nice one Truck!

Looks like it!

What is a "flush pocket" valley? Straight cut?

I think it means the flush-mount pocket liners used on newer (2010 and newer) Valley tables.

This looks like a great field of players. I wish I could be there.

Will the tables be open for the players? If not, that's a lot of quarters on races to 21!

Yeah with this format...

Barbox 9ball rack your own eh?

Sounds like a game Corey invented lol

The field seems pretty balanced wouldn't be surprised with any end result.

I'm pulling for Joey Gray just bc I liked what i saw from him at the Varner Classic. But then if I pull for him I guess i would pulling for Chip by default as well? Lol

Good luck to those guys playing. It's gonna be a barn burner!

With this format, I think any of the entered could win, although I am leaning towards Joey, Chip or Oscar and as has been mentioned Skylar has been playing good of late.

I also wouldn't be surprised to see it opened up to more players, 32 or 48 and it filling up too...

You know it was big entry no added money tourneys that put poker on the map too.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see higher entry fee tourneys taking over professional pool. It's long overdue IMO...

Jaden

p.s. switch to random draw group round robin with high entry fees and we might be onto to something.

Note: Ray, comment at bottom of flyer!

Prize payouts guaranteed for a field of 16 players with paid entry. If 16 entries are paid by April 10th, we will consider expanding the field to 32 players

Any chance of this expanding?

I think it is Brandon Shuff's time to win. I'm sure he will be in the top 3. I also wish this was a winner break. With a race this long, I want to see some packages and momentum swings.
