16 Players Put up $2000 each. Race to 21 Who Will win it???

I would like to see Chuck Raulston snap this one off. Feel like he is sort of the dark horse in that crowd but Chuck can flat play.

Note: Ray, comment at bottom of flyer!

Prize payouts guaranteed for a field of 16 players with paid entry. If 16 entries are paid by April 10th, we will consider expanding the field to 32 players

Any chance of this expanding?
Ray said no they dont feel they could get another 16 players to post 2k at this time maybe next time if this one goes good

... I want to see some packages ...

<insert Beavis and Butthead laughter here>

This is a great event - guaranteed I'll be watching. Maybe because of location, I've heard lots about Jesse Bowman and hope to see him on the stream.

Yes, and it just gives you a better look at how they're stroking their shafts with a winner break type thing….

Agreed.

Just found humor in the double entendre.

On a Valley - I wonder, IF it were winner break, who would have the largest package and how large it would be.

Rooting....Sky and Joey are real good guys, and Corey is my favorite player, BUT, though they can win it, I have a feeling Jesse will!!! When he's hungry, he's a freight train! When he showed up half way thru the calcutta in Beloit, it was all Jess....highest in calcutta, won the mini, won the main. Like a freight train. Mark my words

To answer what I know about the event -

Not sure all are paid as of yet, just committed. I haven't seen a facebook post yet that all the entry fees have been received.

Games are 50 cents a game.

Mikey M. putting this on didn't add money because he was committed to getting a full field - meaning if he was short a player or two, he would gather one up himself to put in. If the field is full, not sure if anything else would be done for the players.

SVB and Appleton (I think) are playing in the Accustats Invitational the same weekend.

Kevin Cheng went back to Taiwan.

p.s. Oscar offered to play Sky a set of 8 ball the bar table and the only response thus far has been crickets chirping.

p.s.s. What will the chop/saver be in the finals?

p.s.s.s. JB should swing back around and come out for this event. The winner could use a new case.

they need to add some money, they'll profit that's the point, players can do this on their own, if the company does not profit, and can prove it, I can accept that

I doubt players can do this on their own. They are not organized enough.

Do what? Throw some money in a pot and play for it! Players have been doing that for over a hundred years, they don't need someone to organize them playing for their own money. Any 2, 4 or 10 players can put up $2000. or $1000 or what ever they want and play and it. Probably a better bet then playing in this tournament. Someone said it is like poker. Not really, there is no way for them to get like 300 players to put up say $1000. a piece and play a tournament like they can with poker.

Years ago they had a tournament in Vegas. The entry fee was $1000. I may have some of the details wrong because it was a long time ago. The gist of the tournament was though, they wanted to advertise a large fake prize fund. The way they did it was to make last place $600.

In other words as soon as you arrived they gave you back $600. of your entry fee for last place. It was really a $400.00 entry fee. I think they wanted to get media attention with a big number. If I remember right it was on bar tables and they did draw like 300 players.
