Just wanted to give a shout out to Mark, Sunny, and ALL the people of CSI as well as Hard Times and Dan of POV and everyone involved with providing the stream. Special thanks also to the sponsors for their support. Thanks to everyone for the hard work to run and broadcast one mofo of an event, including all the commentators and behind the scenes people. You cannot imagine what a zoo it is trying to keep the thing running smoothly with that many people.

The best field ever! Congratulations to Alex on the victory and Oscar for another great performance. The final was full of excellent play and drama. Both players showed incredible heart.

It is not only a tournament but also a major happening. It's great not just to participate but also to run into friends we don't get to see often enough. It really has something of a festival atmosphere.

:thumbup::thumbup: = 2 thumbs up. :grin:

Thank you.Very enjoyable tournament to watch on the POV stream. With the race to 7 we got to see a ton of matches. I know that most of the top players don't like short races, but in an open event I believe it brings out more non-pro players that feel they have a chance to hang in there for awhile. 192 players in 2 1/2 days...WOW. You could see that most of the last dozen players were tired. If more tournaments were held like this I bet more players would be hitting the gym to get/keep in shape. Johnnyt

DPP-

It was a lot of fun.

How bad did Alex hurt himself?-Loved the line to Oscar-'You could forfeit' after his flying leap went bad.

I enjoyed the tournament. I met a couple of new AZ members including Josh from San Diego who plays a nice game.

I ended up losing to John Schmidt in my second match (no fun playing that guy - he played fantastic against me) then working my way through the loser's side and cashing, finally losing hill-hill to Deo in the last match Saturday night at midnight. I think we were both flat out of steam after 15 hours of mostly standing.

What a turn out - the room was standing room only. Mark and Sunny did a great job moving the matches along.

It was nice seeing you and Ernie there too.

Chris

I live on the east coast so I lost a little sleep watching but well worth it. The production was super. An that gal barbecue did such a great job announcing some of the matches. An I enjoyed her bit about streaming coffee. One of the best streams I have watched plus well informed guests. Very few hiccups and best of all it was free. Thanks

Totally Agree with DogsPlayingPool Thanks for All the hard work Everyone. It was a Great tournament to Watch www.povpool.com is rocking on

I still don't believe what I saw. It was pretty jaw dropping. I hope Alex recovers and it's not a long lasting nagging injury.

Let me add my compliments as well. Great job all the way around by all involved. Like I said from the first day Daniel and Barbie Cue streamed -- expect good things from this team. Working in the background with them I can earnestly say that their love for the sport and desire to present it to the world in the best possible manner goes clear to the bone marrow. I can't wait to see how things progress.

Donn Espinoza (http://www.pool-trax.net/) (http://www.facebook.com/ThatPoolStatsGuy) did an outstanding job with the stats. I absolutely love this feature. That is not an easy job.

Thanks to my fellow mods Upstate Al, Sharken, F4steddie, Gum9Ball, bdoc, Denny Stewart, Fast Lenny.

(Spanky79=WTG my friend. You helped out in soooo many ways from commentating, to running, to ... whatever it took to lend a hand )

Another great event by CSI

Mark, Sunny and Bill are amazing at keeping things under control.

It was a pleasure seeing everyone - Mitchell (DogsPlayingPool), Chris (Tate), Darin (dr2112), Fran (Meezer Girl), Isaac (levid), Frank (dabarbr)

Even though I can't make a ball in the ocean, I'll still keep coming back to play in this - the best tournament in Southern California.

I couldn't agree more. If these folks are involved you know it will be the nutz, whether at the event or on stream!

True that!

I'd like to thank you for the great weekend..you got a fan for life.
And thanx to the Griffins et al for the hard work.

And I was calling for two in a row for Alex, so I'm very pleased about that.

...and they say every cloud has a silver lining...
..I can now beat Alex at a standing broad jump...

I enjoyed everything about it. My problem was falling asleep before it ended. I got tired just sitting here watching it. Can't imagine how tired the players and commentators were.

Thanks for a great weekend.

Well I was so tired I left before the semi, got home at the beginning of the final and didnt get past 9 - 3

Kudos

For the stream of the event. I enjoyed watching the matches this weekend. Although, I must admit I did fall asleep during the hot seat match only to wake up around 3 am, right after Alex won the tournament. The only reason I knew he won was the patrons on the chat were still commenting on the match. Oh well, turned the computer off and went to bed.

Thanks again,

Jay P.

I also had a fantastic time at the tournament. Unfortunately, I drew Beau Runningen in the first round. He had me 0-4...and I played pretty good to take 5 straight games and get up 5-4. Then I broke dry...and he ran the freaking set out. What can I do??? I broke and ran 2 or 3 of the racks I won...so I can't complain about how I played.

My next opponent took the brunt of my frustration..and I beat him 6-2 pretty quickly. Then I played a gentleman names Richard (can't remember his last name)...and I felt like I was playing Scott Frost or One-Pocket Rich. I'd leave him end rail to end rail...and he would fire in the long rail bank and run out. It happened over and over...and I just got beat.

Still...I enjoyed the tournament very much. The CSI staff runs an excellent event...and the POV Pool did a phenomenal job with the stream. Thanks to TATE for keeping me company and supporting me in my match with Beau! And thanks to Alex P for keeping me entertained at the card table in between matches. (It's good he won the event because he was stuck like $500 playing cards!)

Loved seeing everyone! Until next year!

Melissa
