69 caught on HD vid.

Here's the vid. I made a couple of saviour shots and a couple of stupid ones but in the end not a bad run, a bit slow though :) Comments?

Thanks for posting. This was a nice run.

I do have a question.

Did you consider shooting the 15 ball in the upper corner at 31:15 in the video?

From my view that would have solved your little 4 ball cluster there and opened up the table while still giving you multiple insurance balls.

Thanks for your reply and for posting your run.

Great observation. Shooting the 15 at that time would of solved a lot of problems.

as i said on the YT page:

110 balls per hour isn't Lou Butera territory, but it's quite respectable. i suspect the commenter claiming it's slow has never run over 2 racks, as is the case with most people who say "straight pool is too easy".

i like your consistent preshot routine.

Nice run. The reason I disable comments is because of idiots like the guy accusing you of slow play. I'd give that guy ball in hand with an open rack and bet he couldn't run 20 balls.

Nice run, Mikko, good to see you play Straight Pool!

Question: cloth doesn't appear to slide at all, but provide good friction, curious why you didn't put lots of follow on that last break shot, would seem most unlikely to scratch that way?

Greetings from Switzerland, David.

Thanks for all the comments!

To Dr9ball: I usually don't like shooting to far corner pockets if the cueball is very close to the object ball, except if the shot is absolutely straight. But you're right, it would've been an easier way out of the cluster, but I saw a different pattern and played two shorter shots instead.
To Dogsplayingpool: I think that's a GC IV but I'm not sure. The cloth is either powder blue or electric blue.
To David: Yeah the cloth is a bit worn, but usually don't like playing a lot of follow on that kind of a super thin shot, I get more speed on the cueball if I play center ball and I most likely won't get the cueball flying around the table with it.
To Dennis: Thanks :) No, my HR is 91... still waiting to be in the 100-club :)
To Mr. Hoppe: LOL! :embarrassed2: Better showing slow vids of yourself instead of filthy ones... :D

I agree with Marpo here, Shooting that 15 while you had position for it would HAVE opened up a lot of lanes. LOL (Sorry Bill, Had To....)

Mikko,

you shoot a real good game and at a nice pace. But the one thing i notice is that you leave lanes closed too long. try opening up paths for balls earlier and i bet you have better results.

Keep Shooting !
Steve
