Funny how the internet imitates real life.
Someone can walk into a room or a website in several different ways. When one chooses to enter with an aggressive, capitalized, manner, and calling out the entire audience it doesn't usually end up well for them. Chances are that person will even alienate many of his/her former fans. Whereas entering humbly (but confidently) and thanking people for their support will do just the opposite...by gaining additional fans.
Actors are usually happy to get press, any kind of press. They say that they don't care what the headlines say, so long as it's about them. They believe that all publicity is good publicity.
I don't recall anything ever being written that was either disrespectful or outright nasty towards the original poster, just a difference in people's opinion of her pool playing level, in fact, if I recall correctly, everyone acknowledged that she played well and was an asset to the game. What I did immediately feel was an overly aggressive opening post protesting the fact that everyone here didn't agree that she played at the level she thought she did. That happens all the time, it's a non-issue and didn't require a dedicated, call out, thread, especially one initiated by the player herself. IMO.
No disrespect here, and good luck to you.
