As many of you know, I've been working hard on a secret new project for quite some time now. Dave and I just returned from the US Open, and while away on our trip, we decided to finally let the secret out.
The pool world has been asking for more coverage, better content, and higher production value. And so without further delay, we proudly present:
The Runout Media Video Magazine
Youtube clip (note that 720p HD is available)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGVZyQY1Hsg
This will be a very high end video magazine that will launch in the second half of November 2010. We will be releasing 10 issues per year (every 5 weeks), and each issue will have an approximate running time of 60 minutes. Issues will be available in 720p HD, streamed instantly from our website. Physcial DVDs will also be an added option, bundled into box sets every 6 months. Subscriptions will be available upon launch at http://www.runoutmedia.com for $12.50 per issue, or a full year (10 issues) for a discounted $99.
Our intent is to deliver a fresh perspective on the pool world through the release of high quality video productions. Each issue will include a variety of segments that focus on international pool culture. Although each issue will include tournament coverage, we are not interested in resulting scores. Our focus will remain on the players, personalities, and community, with a strong emphasis on 'behind the scenes' content. As such, this will not be a news source, but rather quality billiard related entertainment.
Issue #1 will be released free next month. This will allow potential subscribers to see our unparalleled content, quality, and dedication. Issue #2 will launch at the same time, available to subscribers immediately.
The Runout Media Video Magazine will be an international release. We will be flying to events all over the world, including the Philippines, Europe, and the USA. This will allow viewers to see first hand what goes on behind the scenes at events such as the Mosconi Cup, World Championships, Derby City, etc. Viewers will also be treated to glimpses into the lives of the players when they are away from the table, after hours celebrations, and the cultural significance of pool in varying regions of the globe.
Stay tuned for more updates over the next few weeks. Updates will be available from our Facebook group and Twitter respectively:
