A Word from Smorg.......

Heart operating about 40% and still making us laugh. Ain't that about normal?!!

Doug, you are the greatest inspiration for so many. A role model; a hero.

You keep going on and doing what you've gotta do. You know we're all behind you, no matter what.

God bless you and your family as you deal with this mess.

Is there some kind of dance we can dance for you? You know... like a rain dance, but for your health? Maybe a rain dance for the health that we all want to rain upon you??? Maybe we can create a downpour!! :D

Doug - you do whatever YOU have to do and we will do what we WANT to do and that is send you all our thoughts and prayers for you to keep goin' one day at a time - hell, make that one minute at a time!! - just remember, whatever we got you're gettin'!! - Jackson

You are a hero to many and will never be forgotten, hang in there Doug tens of thousands are pulling (and a few pushing) for you.

Signing your jacket was a treat for me, and your courage is a continuing inspiration. Hoping for the best.

Very sad and very depressing ... But still making us laugh ... Tears of sadness on my key board and yet I'm smiling at another one of Smorgies posts ... Hang in there Doug your the best AZ has to offer they broke the mold when God made you ... Stay strong ...

Doug,

I wanted to sign your jacket right over the heart, but there was no room left. Too many other's had the same good thought.
So I signed it on the right shoulder where the angel sitting there would be sure to see it. (not that I have any great connections these days)
But I know she IS watching over you, and you WILL make it. IMO

Dick

Great idea Joey, thanks from all of us, for your thoughtful efforts.

I Salute You Sir

Doug,

Although I am 62, I am a newborn on AZ. I have heard so many people refer to you and always in a kind way. I took it upon myself to go back and read some of the myriad of comments you have made. It is obvious from reading same that you are as so many have said you are -- a special individual,
special indeed. As a retired Air Force member and Agent Orange survivor -- I salute you sir! You have touched many from afar and I am proud to be counted among them.

My prayers and best wishes to you my friend from afar, who is yet so close!

Is there a Doctor in the house??? Preferrable one with balls of steel? How about a good auto mechanic, the man needs a valve job!

Stay strong Doug, sorry I wasn't able to get my hands on that jacket, you'd have found something special in the pocket

Keep the pressure on those doctors Doug. We'll keep the prayers coming your way. Hope to read about about your successfull surgery soon

Doug... you may wonder what it is about you that is special and I'll tell you that it's the ability to bring out the love hidden deep inside of us... the love that gets lost in all the grime of daily existance.

Read all these posts about your situation and see that you have managed to help a helluva lot of people to forget about cares and woes, world problems, money, guns and drugs and just focus on love.... only love.

You have enabled a lot of people to experience moments of heaven by finding the love within themselves and you wonder if you are going to get in? When your thoughts are in your heart of hearts you are "there" and you choose to use precious energy to post and take us there with you.... imo (if I may)

Classy Bunch!! IMO

I am so proud to be a part of such a classy bunch!!

It's absolutely heart warming to read through this thread. Thanks to everyone for letting Doug know how much he means to you.

If you really want to ROTF and LYAO :D search all posts by Smorgass Bored. You will be entertained for days!! LOL

What really inspires me is Doug's ability to make us laugh even when he is hurting. One of a kind!

Ray
