Why do people feel its their responsibility to ruin someones livelihood/income? In the past week 3 of the players I play on a normal basis that I am 1 or 2 skill levels above have been told by people to quit playing me for money. It is hard enough to get a game as it is!

Welcome to the real world.

Better advice to those 3 players from their friends would be to start making games with you where you have to give an amount of weight proportional to your purported superior skills. They can then progressively escalate the weight to the point where they're taking back most of what they've lost to you in the past. Seems equitable to me.

If you saw a friend of yours repeatedly making very poor investments, would you try to help? I sure hope so. Why shouldn't the friends of your action victim, who is making a foolish investment each and every time he/she gambles with you, try to steer their friend in a different direction?

Same with ping pong. Dang, nobody will let me take their money. I guess because pool is played in bars people have no sense whatsoever.

Youre bad action. You ask for weight from players you should be giving weight to. And you dont have enough money to lose to make the headache of playing you worthwhile for better players. And now that word on you is spreading, you complain about it on a public forum.........
That about sum it up?

A person's livelihood refers to their "means of securing the basic necessities -food, water, shelter and clothing- of life". Livelihood is defined as a set of activities, involving securing water, food, fodder, medicine, shelter, clothing and the capacity to acquire above necessities working either individually or as a group by using endowments (both human and material) for meeting the requirements of the self and his/her household on a sustainable basis with dignity. The activities are usually carried out repeatedly.[1] For instance, a fisherman's livelihood depends on the availability and accessibility of fish.

LOL seriously?

So then how is that different from my livelihood? Pool has been my only source of income for nearly a year with the exception of when i had a part time job for nearly 2 months out of that year. Everything I've earned playing in tournaments and gambling for the past 9 weeks has been used for shelter, food, travel cost, medicine, clothing, hygeine etc. And I suppose everything I earn playing pool over the next few years will be for the same things.

Seriously, you come on to AZBiliards and gloat constantly how much money you make and how you can beat any B player out there and blah blah blah....

Of all the people who could come on here *****ing about people wrecking their action this one takes the cake.

And for the record, you have a line up a mile long of people on AZBilliards that have offered you more action then you could stand, and I am positive AZB streamers would LOVE to stream the matches as many on AZB would watch the matches with the rabid curiosity of watching an oncoming train wreck and being unable to look away from the upcoming carnage about to unfold.

Give it a rest, if you are 1-2 levels above them you are not "gambling" in the first place, you are getting a donation. Go find someone who actually plays you level, strap on a set and go do some actual gambling.

And that's why there is "the road". The longer you hang around, the harder it will be.

What kind of fantasy world you think this is?

Playing pool is not a job, in the sense of being something one can do for income.

We know you love pool, get a grip and allow it its proper place.

Well......you need a car and I have a car that I can afford to lose. You need money and I have money I can donate. Let's play. They call me the Box Bar Banger. I'm a banger from way back. How much weight do you want?

you made your life public and told how you play. so it will always come back to haunt you.
if you want to win at pool you have to find action spots and action players. not good players but action players. the non gamblers non winners dont know the difference.
then you have to make them want to play with you and like losing to you, and you have to learn to make the right game. nine ball isnt in your best interests as you show how you play after about two games. so why play on. only a fool loses more than a couple games unless its a top player who can run multiple racks.
if you cant tell after two games how your game you made is going to go you are only fooling yourself most times.
play 8 ball, onepocket, banks. and make good games either getting spotted or giveing the spot. just remember few ever give a good spot. they always offer way to little so you have to change the game around to something they dont understand and beat them that way.
in a pool room you never play anyone at first that isnt a through ticket. the one or two barrel guys save for last or not at all. find the big losers and spend the time to take them off and move on.

You have responsibility confused with pleasure. They do it because it entertains them. Like a good joke or a rodeo clown does.

Maybe get a job in sales. Use the money and the training to your advantage. Also spend more time training and less on the internet, your marketing practices are suspect.

I guess it's time to stop trying to fleece people and get a real job like the rest of us.
