was the cue paid for with paypal? I think paypal has a 45 day limit on filing disputs and requesting a refund. That could be the reason for all the delays--stall for 45 days and that quick, easy recourse is no longer an option.
 
his profile shows that he was logged on at 4:42AM this morning, thats less than a half hour ago. Too bad he wasnt kind enough to grace us with his presence and newest excuse.
 
I am here in Thailand and have shipped and recived many cues and least time has been 3 working days and the maximum time has been 9 working days.
Adam i think u need refund this persons money, no matter if u sell ur cue or sell whatever u have, i dont think 550 usd is that big an amount that u cannot arrange living in america.go work on a gas station for a few nights or do whatever and give this person a refund.i am sure if cue is in mail and when and if this person recives the cue he will gladly send u the cue back or money for it.
All of us are part of this small pool loving community.Stop emabarrasing yourself by saying this and that.I will be glad if u own up ur mistake and stop blaming others for it.It was your responsibilty to ship the cue and not your monthers or friends.It will be honourable for u to sell ur cue and give money to this person.
What i can suggest u is u can send ur personal cue to this person and once he gets his he can send it back to you.I am sure he has worked hard for his money and he desreves it.

BE A MAN-Give him his money ,eventually if he gets the cue he will give ur money back or send ur cue back.I never wanted to write anything here but than this has gone on for too long now.

This kinda stuff is disgusting and sad.Maybe it will get worked out,but somehow I doubt it it will.
Here's hoping it does.
 
I agree sde....lots of nonsense in this thread already imo.

I do hope he makes good fwiw.But the BS meter is already in the red for me and I imagine the same is true for most of us regulars.

The one glimmer of hope that I see in this is that Adam is still communicating. If his real intent was to scam it would have been real easy for him to just disappear.

He kept saying that he was going to pay me. In fact, several times he told me the check was in the mail. Naturally I never got anything from him and doubt that I ever will. Maybe someday I will run into him somewhere and "borrow" his cue. :smile:
 
I feel for ya Jay! Maybe that's what I'll end up doing with Mr. Lucky in Atlanta. 14 months ago he wrote me a bad check for more than $300, for pool lessons and a Banking With The Beard book. The last time I heard from him was last fall, and he "still intended to pay me". Maybe the next time I'm in Atlanta, I'll stop by Mr. Cues II, where he plays APA league play, and "borrow" one of his cues, as collateral for the debt. I thought this guy was standup...after all he is Cisero Murphy's nephew! :rolleyes: :angry:

Disgusting!!!!!!!

I know one thing if he does get it worked out without being proscecuted he won't be getting any good rep from me. This was nothing but a BS move from the beginning IMO. I sincerely hope desmocourtney does get a refund but after weeks of stories an more stories, it looks iffy at best.
