AZBilliards is pleased to announce the appointment of Al Leon as President and General Manager of AZBTV. "Upstate" Al Leon will be responsible for all video streams, display and storage. He will be in charge of deciding what events to stream and will be responsible for all aspects of manpower, financing and future planning.

Al Leon brings a wealth of Pool Streaming to his new position. He has been the lead commentator at Turning Stone for the past four years in our broadcasts there with Accu-Stats Video Productions. He is known as the largest promoter of video streams in the country using emails, Facebook, AZB and his own web site to promote the game to as many people as possible.

It is his devotion to the cause that inspired us to bring Mr. Leon on board as the newest addition to the core team at AZBilliards. We are tremendously excited about this progression and look forward to announcing near-term plans shortly.

Team McCready likes Upstate Al. He's definitely a part of the fabric of the American pool scene. Congratulations, Upstate Al!

 
congratulations al for all the support and commentary etc you do for the sport, god knows we need all the help we can get. congrats to az billiards for having the business sense to add al to the roster.

Good choice and well deserved.

However, I do hope that this does not mean that you to abdicate your commentary duties Al.

Jay and yourself are the best when it comes to making a stream more enjoyable due to commentary.
 
Congratulations to upstate al, a very good person who promotes pool/billiards seems like 24/7. He and his partner bob are always promoting pool and doing it with class. Hope to see lots more from you guys. A very smart choice by AZB.

I hope he eventually does demo tryouts to find that ''special'' person who communicates in a similar/fun/professional way as Tommy did during the Camel Pro tour days. Often the person who will fill that other/or another spot won't even know it. It's always been this pro, or this guy or gal that says they are best. But ya never know till ya step in the pool. But Tommy, a professional commentator for Camel Pro events, learned the game, nuances, dialogue, quirks and made his NON-player perspective fun and engaging and waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the norm. One tires of Only a pool players perspective. It's why they have female announces on the sidelines of the NFL, and we know they don't play full contact football EVER. Hell Al Michaels was never a boxer.

OMGWTH....I've seen articles in the local pool rag that are great, who would of thought that would of played out that way with that poster?

Hearing the positive responds are heart felt knowing we have this in common.This is the real core to making Pool & Billiards shine in the spot light the game deserves. We will do our best as a whole and i'am sure we will shine.
