Alison Fisher V.S. Shane Van Boening

I think 40 games playing 10 ball, she as far as i know doesnt play that game, but who really knows, she might do better then Earl or Corey. ;)

Hey Lenny,

I'd have to take Allison with 40 games going to 100. Her only chance with Shane is to take the breaks. With all the breaks and a ball like the 5 or 6, she has a chance to beat him. A good chance!

since you like allison getting 40 games going to 100 and since earl lost by about 40 games. does that make allison and earl a even match :p

Your correct,40 should make for a tight game,if it was a race to a 100 and her getting the 5 and the breaks she might take it off easier then the 40 game spot. :)

It will never happen, but I like Allison (and Karen too) over Earl right now. Boy, will he be pissed when he sees this.:) Oh well, he doesn't like me anyway.

Who does Earl like?

Allison gets the first 60 breaks and the last 3 breaks in a race to 100. This means for the first 60 racks, she breaks, winner break after that. If Shane makes it to 97, he gives up the breaks for the rest of the match.

Edit: I don't think she gambles though. Correct me if I'm wrong.

She used to gamble...we put her in the box before at Mothers. We passed a hat around collecting 5k so she could play little Tony an ahead set. She was getting the 5 out, 7 ahead. That only took a matter of minutes.:D Her matching up against men is a tough call...while she isn't suppose to like it and definately the odds are against her...I've seen her beat plenty of talent. I know its not gambling but in local events I've seen her beat Tony Watson, Stevie Moore, and even double dip Tommy Kennedy...all while playing even. She just doesn't make any mistakes & that puts a lot of heat on. If she had someone break for her...I'd be very curious of the line.:) And...men have the added pressure of getting beat by a woman which plays heavily if she gets a lead.

When he was in dead punch back in 2000, George "Ginky" SanSouci (winner of the BCA Open in 1999 and the Derby City 9ball event in 2000), would give Karen Corr five games on a race to eleven, and the game was dead even. Though ranked #2 on the WPBA at the time, Karen didn't play quite as well back then as she plays now, or she would have needed only four games. I suspect four games on a race to eleven would, similarly, be too close to call, if Shane and Allison mixed it up.

Just give her 30 games on the wire and let Archer break for her...I like her end of it.

If it's 10-ball and they start from 0 - 0, Allison wont make it to 40, probably not even to 35.

If Shane spots her 60, it might be different story, but even then I wouldn't bet on Allison.

At 10-ball, Allisons break is not enough, and Shane would murder her. If it was 9-ball and the rack would be tapped (automatic wing ball), then it would be much tighter of course, but no more than 100-60, even if Allison would play her best.

This is the most reasonable post in this thread. IMO of course.

Didn't Choo Choo Coltrain beat her with a 7-ball spot?
She was offered 6-out against Efren back in '98 I believe and she refused it.

if they were to match up for the cash what kind of spot would she need for it to be even?
It depends. In a straight money match I would expect Shane to win at least 70:30. But at strip pool I would expect Shane to race out into an early commanding lead only to suddenly lose all concentration and inexplicably collapse.
