Anyone going to the Mosconi Cup?

Well you better tell them to bring their own beer. The stuff we call beer over here they will taste and then spit out. America makes a whole lot of great stuff, but beer is not on the list.

By the way, One Hundred And Seventy Five Brits will be coming for The Mosconi Cup as spectators. It will be a Riot and the concession stands will run out of the Beer. EuuuuuuRRRUUUUUPPP!

Im from the UK but live in Houston now and will be making the trip next friday and will be there for a week. Will have another European supporter with me and looking to get a game or 2 while we are there.... Anyone recomend a decent place to go? we will be at the Mirage hotel so some where close would be ideal - assuming we dont get in to the players practice area after hours ;-) !

and yes the beer (lager) sucks...

Heynow! Thems feuding words.
The craft-brew industry is coming along quite nicely Jerry. Especially in Chicago where we have gained a half- dozen great brewers in just the last ten years.
Better late than never as they as say.

Mosconi cup

I will be going to Mosconi Cup again this year to set up the tables,
with Paul Smith from the Diamond Factory.
I would personally like to see this kind of a match on the ten foot table in the future, but I doubt that will ever happen.

See you in Las Vegas,

good to know - cause you'll be sittin' @ the back w/ your English Santa & VAGABOND!

Cosmo is (almost) next to Mirage (@ Aria). and there's a red top table @ common area outside of STK restaurant.

BRING IT eu-rope!

I would rather see them bump the race to 7
5 is just way to short for these guys.

Chris,..........CJ is right on

GO USA

6 days till Mosconi, BABY!!!!

who all's coming?

I will be there from start to finish. I am busier now then I have ever been but this event is at the top of my bucket list and I will be there come hellorhighwater.
I am bringing my playing cue and a few other pool related items and a laptop to help report back to the forum if I can. I wish there were a place to meet and greet other AZers.
It would be great to see if you people are even real:p

Not so fast
I want USA to win but they won't
Sad face

I think they have a shot, but I think Shane may have to deliver 5 points for it to happen.

Johnny Archer, who delivered 6 points, was superhuman last year, but to count on a repeat of that effort is, to me, very unrealistic.

I think one thing that is overlooked is that this is a very long match. A race to 11 matches consists of a whole lot of pool. It's not a crapshoot, it's more like a marathon and the better team usually prevails.

I don't bet on pool, but I reckon Europe is a 2:1 favorite.

Pool sharks is not too far away on Decatur and twain

I'm flying in on saturday and will stay at the Mirage, working for Matchroom as the event photographer  and we'll update AZB with the best news coverage and pics!

Althought I'll be very busy all week, don't hesitate to say hi if you see me and introduce yourselves.

I'll be moving around a lot on the floor but also in the audience sometimes to get different angles. And I usually carry a camera (if not, something's wrong )

This year I'll have an assistant to make sure I don't miss anything!

As far as photographers go we're only allowed a few on the floor and with this year's demand only the old-timers got in... Rick Schmitz, Ricky Briant will be here. And a couple of others from Europe.

Space is going to be really tight!!!

...See you all there :)
