Congrats to Jake Hulsey's "Veneered Wonder" cue for wining the 2012 AZB Cue of the Year. It is a refreshing design that has a lot of people in the cue world talking.

Honorable mentions go out to Pete Tonkin for the "Chevron Cue", and to Bob Manzino's "El Colmilio Blanco". Both of these outstanding cuemakers had several fine cues in the running for this year's poll.

I believe this was the best group of cues we have had in the three years of the AZB Cue of the Year voting. I know there numerous cues that did not get submitted this year that should have been included. I am not going to let that happen for next year. Next year's Cue of the Year will be the best by far!

I set-up a Facebook page for the 2013 Cue of the Year. Please post your new cues there... that goes for collectors, cuemakers, dealers, and individuals alike. This can be a placeholder for all the new cues in 2013. Here is the link... make sure you "Like" the page.

Again, there were no losers in this... just a lot of fine cues for us cue nuts to appreciate.

Yo

What a great display of incredible cues this year. Congrats to the winner and all the other cues...............

Thanks for the organizing this great event! Looking forward to the next one.

thanks so much

I want to say thanks to Jamie for all the hard work that went into this project once again. Additionally, thanks to the purchasers of these beauties, and finally to the excellent makers.

Jake deserves a lot of credit,he comes out of a small Texas town and does something that was never before done

good enough to be voted the best cue of the year over a group of really nice cues

i suspect we will be hearing more of Jake

congratulations on your fine work

I had a chance to play the winning cue tonight...have to say that it shoots really nice!!

It's very well balanced and has a stiff hit to it. I moved the ball very effortlessly, although I didnt notice what kind of tip was on there.

Darn woody you had a shot at it before I did :) I'm definitely looking forward to trying Jake's work.. Hope you didn't harm the cue with your Tasc.

Jamie,
Thanks for doing a great job getting all these beautiful cues together, and letting these talented cuemakers get their well deserved credit.
Best,
Ken

Not really sure what to say, never imagined this kind of response.

I find it very rewarding that my diligence in trying to be unique has been well received and hope it will inspire others to take chances for the sake of our craft.

Thank You everyone for your support and nice comments....especially my agent Brian :D "kidding....kinda"

More importantly, Thanks Jaimie
He has gone above and beyond and continues to do so, creating avenues for possible growth and excitement when it comes to putting cues in front of people. This can only help cue collecting and peoples awareness of cues. The guy is promoting cues as a hobby and for free. Hope that people will acknowledge and support his efforts.

Thanks for all the support

No need for thanks. I just did what someone else would have within a matter of minutes. If I hadn't nominated it someone else would have for sure.

This cue is awesome. Extremely pleasing to the eye. A simple design that is every bit new, intriguing, fascinating, perplexing, fancy, simple.... it just plain flows. Its awesome. I'm glad you won too! Based on a few of the others I've seen, I can't WAIT to see more.

- B <------------ will nominate for cues

Great job, Jamie.

Great work, cue makers.

Congratulations to all of the lucky cue owners.

Way to go, Jake!
