Though Barry builds an awesome cue, he built this cue for the man who's friendship he cherishes very much. You will never make a bad decision with regard to playing the cue or not. I enjoy just looking at it so I completely understand not chalking up this beauty.

ENJOY one of the best cues out there.

Steve you have more cues than you'll ever know what to do with. I think you should play with this cue not even a question. If you ever sold this cue which you'll never lose a dime on anyways and didn't hit it you'd be kicking yourself.

Does not matter how bad or good one plays. It is about the enjoyment of playing pool. If you get no enjoyment out of that, then maybe I would collect it without hitting it.
But compared to living and just having the ability to walk around a pool table, we are blessed, so a cue compared to many other things in life, is just a piece of wood. So I would play with any cue as past experience has shown me.

But then again, you have so many I guess it does not matter lol.. I personally would play with one of the Bushkas all the time ;-)

Steve, it's time you got one of the strong players on this forum to give you some lessons! With all the beautiful cues you own you need to learn all you can about playing well. You don't have to play pro speed to really enjoy your beautiful cues. It would surprise you how much your game will improve after spending a little time with a good player watching what you are doing and pointing out to you what will help you improve. Go for it and run some racks with all those beautiful cues.

Steve, I can't play a lick anymore but i still play with either my Barry or my Gus.
I just don't take them out to the pool hall to play.
Matter of fact there are a few guys on here who have played with my cues.

That is so funny. You do not play bad at all. You are not a World beater but who really is?

It's your cue - do as you see fit. However, in my opinion you should with at least one of your Barry's...

Hope you are well,
Chris

Thanks Myron, I have my first Barry cue from maybe 12-14 years ago....still in the case unchalked. I enjoy just taking it out and looking it over, every chance I get. Even more fun is taking out all the Szams and just oogling them all....LOL. Perhaps I am a bit nuts, but its what I enjoy

I think you need to build on the comment Mosconi gave you all those years ago. Take the "nice shot kid" and start making some more nice shots with this Barry Szamboti cue in your hand, and yes chalk not only on the tip but maybe a little chalk dust just below the ferrule. I think anyone who buys a cue made by Barry that doesn't play with it is in a sense slapping Barry in the face. They were meant to be played with, not hung on a wall to look at as if it were a Picasso. But hey, that's just my opinion.
