Or Derek posting as his uncle David :lol:
He's not helping his case very much, is he?

Derek???
Or Derek posting as his uncle David :lol:
I just got home from Las Vegas. Here are some facts:
On August 20th, 2012 Mr. Derek Savoie was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny for stealing 3 cues at the Riviera Hotel and Casino.
On August 23th, Mr. Savoie pleaded GUILTY in front of Judge Tobiasson, according to Dectetive Zeh of the Clark County Tourism Crime Unit. Mr. Savoie was sentenced by the court and is scheduled to appear in court again on November 28th.
I accept the court's verdict, but I am extremely disappointed in the DA for offering the plea deal that they did to Mr. Savoie WITHOUT consulting me. I was never consulted and would have never agreed to the deal that the DA offered Mr. Savoie. I am not sure if there is any legal rights that I have, but I would like to explore them.
Message to Mr. Savoie, you probably hit the biggest jackpot of your lifetime with whoever it was that prosecuted your case. Somebody upstairs is looking out for you, and I hope you use it to better your life. From reading your posts, I am not certain. I do feel bad for your wife and family as they have nothing to do with this. I would advice you to make good on your end of the deal with the court.
This is one reason why theft is such a hard crime to prosecute. Even though I personally saw with my own two eyes the whole thing -from the moment that Mr. Savoie walked into the booth, took the cue, and left the booth with the cues without paying- it becomes a he said/she said thing. In this instance, I am lucky to have the cameras backed up my claims.
I am not sure if I can have my say in the next court date, November 28th, but if I do, I would certainly be there to have my piece.
P.S: As soon as I have figured out how to edit, copy and post the videos -yes, it's plural-, I will release them to refute what Mr. Savoie had said earlier in this thread.
I would love to tell you exactly why this happened but I'm not supposed to say that in this particular area of the forums, according to the "correct" members here.

Come on man....you can't man up and say "I was wrong".
This was nvr about who is right or wrong. The nice part about forums is that what everyone "said" is still in writing. From my first post, I tried to show you that you can't be so cavalier about saying what the outcome would be, without all the facts. I posted the NV statute just so you could see what the potential outcome could also be.
I am not a wannabe and I knew what would happen because I am involved in this stuff.
You ARE a wannabe. You want to become a cop. Thing is, RIGHT NOW, you are not a cop, nor a lawyer or judge. Therefore, you are not doing it for a living and am no expert, get it?
I did not take a 50/50 guess. I call it down to 100% of the final court ruling. I said exactly what would happen and it did. There were alot of possibilities that could have happen but this is always the one that does happen.
This is where your ego and 20-something mentality is flawed. You threw out a scenario that commonly happens, in these scenarios BUT you had no way of knowing all the facts. For that matter, you couldnt be certain if this guy had priors or even if you had the correct name of the guy. Doing a search on the Internet is NOT considered "a good background check".
Man up and quit being a douche. If I had been wrong I would have said "hey I was wrong and I don't know what I am talking about".....but I wasn't because again I see this stuff non stop.
Still beating your chest and spouting about your "expertise"? How do you see this stuff "non stop"? Again, you are not in law enforcement, etc, so unless you keep getting locked up yourself, you would have no reason to "see this stuff non stop".
Chill out and quit calling me names and insulting my career choices and me as a person because you were wrong.
Try not to sound like a 7 year old, k?
I did a internet search on him for priors and arrest records. Thats why I said it seems he has no priors unless he has a juvenile record that is sealed. I came with experience and knowledge....you came with a smart mouth. That is all
This last statement tells everyone what a boob you are. Ever heard the cliche about *assuming*?
Compton's analysis was so profound Eric - don't you get it.
He told us all that the thief would be offered a deal. Just like what happens in 99.9% of all court proceedings. He didn't have a 50/50 shot of being right. he had a 99.9/100 shot of being right.
I still can't wait he goes thru the academy. Then Compton will pull someone over for suspected drunk driving. He will tell the person to hold on while he checks their facebook page. If he sees pics of the person partying or check ins at 'da club', the person is going down hard.
Seeing the videos would be nice
The video is currently unrated, best we don't see the non-edited version.
I've got a feeling the footage is too horrific for a bunch of poolplayers to watch.
Like Psycho when the music starts and the big blade comes out in the stairway...slash slash
The thought of seeing the kid lurking, getting ready to make his move, is way too chilling for me to watch.
Could be very scarey..:yikes:
Bingo! Ya beat me to it...![]()
Is this video gonna be 'X' rated?
...or was a 'Z' shaft involved?
Wow 31 pages for this.
This guy is getting more attention than Obama & Romney.
Maybe he should run for political office when he gets out.
He has the first part of being a politician down. Thief.
But he cam be up front about being a lowdown outright thief.
Eric and watchez....you can work for a department on recruit pay and status while waiting to either go to or during the academy to become P.O.S.T Certified. Bailiffs happen to be a position you can hold while non post certified in some departments. And I also hold an armed security license which allows me to work private protective services(body guard) and armed guard both uniformed and plain clothes(I happen to work in the private sector as well, and yes armed). You can even look licenses up as it is public info. Even if you are employed post certified or not you must hold that license to have a second job outside of a government department. Any time a security officer is involved in an arrest he or she must go to court to testify. I don't understand why you both would believe I don't work in and around le already???? What did you say about assuming eric. So actually I DO work and earn a living in this field. I would not have said a word if I had not learned on the job.I do understand both of you have no clue as to the workings of this particular career field as you have both made it very clear you are not the type. SO does that answer and cover all the bs you guys have flung around. Have a good day guys
John C <-----Doesn't know why I even spoke up.
Oh and ps the quip about getting shot was not even remotely funny. Ever day I put on my clothes and gear and walk out the door with a sidearm and a target on me I could catch a round from a nut job. My wife and children could have to face that one day. I don't mind the risk but making fun or predicting that is not a laughing matter.
