A few choices,if yours is not on there then select other and post who is yours, just trying to see who you guys think makes the best playing cue, thanks.

1. Kikel
2. Olney
2.Scruggs

My cue works for me, but there was no "Daves Cue" selection and I did not want to get confused with all those "others" (you know who you are), so no voting for me :p

A great hitting cue for myself would be any cue with a 12.75 mm tip stiff taper 19 to 19.8 oz and a no wrap or a leather wrap.I play with many big name makers there a lot of good cues out there. The real question is who makes the best shaft????

How many from this list have you actually played?

Wish everyone had the chance to play with each cue listed. Would love to try a Tascarella, Bender, Hercek etc.. Would be glad to accept any cues as a loan to test them out thoroughly.

Have played 4 cues from this list. From my moderate experience nothing has come close to my Scruggs.:D

Cheers - Jigger

Schon CX-55 w/ Predator Z Shaft and Moori Medium Tip. (I've played with 4 of the cues listed)

As someone who was once beaten with a mop handle, I tend to agree with this.

A pro player at the 2005 BCA open in Las Vegas stated that it "was the indian and not the arrow" when asked for an opinion on the best playing cue.

My favorite arrow is a plain jane TAD-1

The TAD-1 is my everyday player. It doesnt play as well as my Gina, but close.

I voted Phillippi but my vote may be bias. Phillippi was my first expensive cue and to this day I haven't seen one more beautiful than that one. It was also the first cue I shot with that had a wood joint so the feel was unlike anything I felt before. I have never been so in love with a cue even to this day. The forearm was snake wood with pink ivory points and ivory diamonds in the butt. I got very upset one night while drinking and gave it to my younger cousin who was like 14 at the time. I was hoping he would give it back to me considering he new I was drunk but he was in love with it as well. So one day I just told him straight up that I made a mistake and wanted it back. I could see that his heart sunk so I just told him he could have it back but this time I had to sell it to him. I GAVE it to him for $600. He was still very happy. Later on he had the whole thing refinished( there was a minor error in the ivory which is how I ended up with it anyways) and now everytime I see it I cry.:)

That's so sad I think you could turn it into a country song and have a hit.

My cue is a Schon.

Tad close to Gina

The TAD-1 plays close to the Gina sounds great. How far apart is the approximate value? In my case, I believe my TAD-1 plays better than the new Lambros I have that I paid twice the amount to obtain. There is nothing wrong with the Lambros, It's just that all the pretty is just money thrown at pretty, not playability.

I have been very happy with both Skip Weston's I have owned. Very consistent.
The shafts are 12.75mm 'S' taper, and stiff. They play very well, IMHO.

I think of the nine cuemakers that you listed here, only three would actually make the cut (maybe four). The overwhelming dominance of "other" should indicate that most of these cuemakers don't quite belong on a list of best "playing" cues.

If you want to take a poll in which the results were spread more across the spectrum, I would remove Phillipi, Gilbert, Webb, Coker, and Scruggs and perhaps replace them with names like White, Hercek, Bluegrass, Szamboti, Tascarella, Judd, Bender, or a few other top-notch cuemakers.

Otherwise, the point of the poll is moot if more than half of all who respond select "other".

ive been thinkin about gettin myself a brand new pechaur, i ve shot a few balls with one before, and thought it played pretty good, any advice on this?
