Bill Incordona vs John Hager $10000

Watchez,

After going to DCC and getting into action, I am again inspired. Yep, made some money like the old days!

Wish Duel and Matlock, or Walden, or Bowman or somebody could get matched up. Especially at Shooters in KC. I think the crowd would be phenomenal. I certainly would contribute to the Corey backers.

In my humble opinion, Duel's guys would be hard pressed to cover all the bets if the game went live at Shooters. Corey is a great champion and I love his style. But dude, I like David with the 8..........

However, if the game was matched up right - pool fans from all over the country would come to see that matchup. Talkin' ACTION. Work on it, ok?

Say hey to the StL guys!

Well, it barely took 4 hours, but Billy took it down.

Billy is obviously wanting to play another set and I guess the bs is going on now.

I had a hunch that the 7-ahead match wouldn't take long with Tony giving Billy 9 to 6.

I have heard MANY Billy Incardona tales from days gone by when he was playing on a more regular basis in his younger days.

I never saw him shoot pool, though, as he was always the "commentator" guy at the events I attended, with one exception. A couple years ago at the U.S. Open, he and Liljon matched up at Q-Masters for a lot of jellybeans, and Billy came out on top. I don't think anybody had clocked Billy's true speed at this time because he hadn't been playing.

There is no doubt that Tony Chohan's game is one-pocket, and he is phenomenal at that game, but never underestimate a veteran and seasoned player like Billy Incardona in the pit. Chalk one up for the old school! :)

It is no secret that Tony woofed at Billy a number of times at DCC, and as far as I know (I was there 4 days), they couldn't get the game right.

At the 2007 DCC Tony Chohan and Billy played 1p. I believe they played with Tony giving Billy the hit and pick and TRex took the cheese. It happened the second or third night.

I wonder if that was by design???

It took almost 6 hours and it was 15, the other side couldn't come up with more or play a second set.

Too many hobos and derelicts came here from the east side (Hall of Fame) that won't bet waters wet. We don't want sweators.....we want bettors. At least they enjoyed the dollar hot dogs...most were paid for in pennies though.

Lewis and Jen, how ya doin!

I wish I coulda sweat that 1p action... speaking of color of money.. I'm not too sure that there wasn't a lay-down somewhere or another :)

Doin great Steve.

The Clown kept me posted and I'm trying to get in a position to come up there again this year. Just have a lot of irons in the fire right now.

Take it easy on the HOFers.

Just got a phone call and Billy is in Chicago to play Ike now. Don't know what the game is, but heard Ike is giving 9-8. Will post when I hear.

Everytime there is a game in the US, people assume there is some kind of laydown. Some people do like to gamble!!!!!

A long time ago, I had a Billy I. match from back when Billy hadn't been playing especially well in recent years, but was still a relatively young man. (Early 80's?)

He totally manhandled Kim Davenport.

And it wasn't that Kim played bad. He had a few kicks, hit them pretty well. He ran out when he was supposed to. It's just that Billy was on the right side of every ball, and put down every tough shot. Billy was using such good speed, too! That's the thing I remember about that match..

Billy was hitting those tough shots at the speed that allowed the pocket to accept the ball the highest percentage of the time, regardless of whether that was the most "comfortable" speed to hit the ball.

During that match, and for that whole tournament, from what I heard.. Billy I. was the equal of Earl, Kim, Mike S., Efren, etc. He played nearly perfect pool for a number of matches.

He is such a smart games maker, that if he has been playing regularly, and has fire in his belly, I got a feeling he is gonna sneal up on a few people.. :D :D :D

I just talked to the owner of the pool hall where the game is to be played ( this pool room owner likes to keep things on the safe and quiet side, so without mentioning names, it's the same pool room where they played last time ) and he told me that the game is tentatively scheduled for Saturday.....

Looking to rob me

Billy left a message on my answering machine last night saying he was in Chicago and was wanting to play me some banks. He said he wanted a chance to finally beat me. Ha Ha. Whatever game he and I played, I won an average of about one out of every ten times! I am much older now, but I am also much smarter. I know I cant play a lick anymore. What I will probably do instead, is let him buy dinner, and then go and lay a large bet on him when he plays Ike.

Freddie,

If he does match up with Runnels, "pretty please" would you let us know all that you can about what goes on? Especially appreciated would be including the "pre-fight banter", i.e., "The Negotiations". They are often as entertaining as the match itself. If the aforementioned report could be generously filled with your humor and sardonic wit, I for one would consider it a perfect post.

As always, that you post here often is much appreciated. With you, more is better.

come on now

take it easy steve. hof ain't so bad, well wasn't. i have seen a fair share of shall we say challenged people over on your side of town also. besides that hof has been the action spot for many years now. you could see a world champion any night of the week. when was the last time duel, mccready, archer and the likes were over that way??? not trying to start stuff as i have always had fun coming to your events. nice room and great atmosphere but lets not tear the east side apart. plenty of big money action at hof. thanks and have a great weekend.

If you get him to buy dinner, dome a favor and stick him good?!?!?

Congrats....

what a thread Lewis...you're off and running. Tell Hagger San Antonio misses him to a man (a few ladies too).

Ya'll made a great choice when you went with Diamon tables. There's none better.

Lewis, help these people get the record straight on "The Color of Money": Who ever wrote Efren played great the entire match but had no break was dead right.

Who do you know that could give Earl the break for 6 hours and only trail by 4 games. Day two give Earl the break for another 6 hours and only drop back another 3 games. Down 7 to begin day three. After the last coffee break, at least 2 a.m. be trailing 17 at 104 to 87 Earl, find your break and win 120 to 104. Greatest kick ass turn around I've ever seen or even heard of.

Some well intended soul suggested a dive by Earl. I'm not a fan of Earl's but such a suggestion is pure crap. Earl was distroyed physically, mentally and spiritually. Yes Earl missed two shots but that can happen after 20 hours of play. But how did anyone command the balls start dropping on Efren,s break. Get real. How do I know..I was there. Lewis, come home , we need you for the city championships...jack, the world's greatest mystick

It is a crazy game and crazy things happen.

How many times do we see two players square off with one breaking like a cannon and the other can't seem to buy a ball for any anount of money.

Regardless, everytime two players square off and no matter what the results are there are gonna be those aren't happpy unless they feel the fix was in. I guess I understand that to some extent as I feel the same way evertime I watch or read something about boxing.

Either way, Earl and Efren were great in their day and it was a great match. Sometimes strange and mysterious things happen. SOmetimes it is as if the balls know what is going to happen.

I will be there Jack if humanly possible.

I think the final score was 120-117.

I think you are right and think Jack just made a mistake there. He should very well know though as he and his wife were there.

I can understand why people would suggest Earl took a dive. His attitude and effort went totally out the window near the end. It was like he wasn't even trying. But how many times have we seen Earl decide to just give up and not care during a match before? That's just Earl, and his usual problems.

A shame, really, because he had every opportunity to win the match, had he not given up like that.
